Hulk Hogan, a new man at 70 after giving up alcohol and pills and adding CBD to his diet – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Terry Gene Bollea, the iconic and world-famous Hulk Hogan, is making a physical transformation at the age of 70.

It’s not that he’s training harder than ever, but that he’s dropped certain habits and radically changed his diet. On New Year’s Day he got “tired of being sick and tired of myself”.

His intention was to drink less alcohol, but he is now proud of his eight months without trying it.

“It changed everything,” Hogan told TMZ.

“I wasn’t eating late at night – I wasn’t eating junk food anymore. I dropped like 40 pounds right away.”

For the legendary WWF and WWE wrestler, the main thing has been not drinking alcohol and following a diet that includes the use of some CBD products, that is to say, products that contain cannabidiol, the main component of cannabis. The daily consumption of eggs has also disappeared.

The fact is that Hogan has put any hint of injury behind him – although he no longer competes – and is finally able to train regularly, hence his great fitness. An important part of his story he told Muscle And Health: “I was stuck in a vicious cycle. I was taking pain pills because I had to have 25 operations, 10 of them on my back, facial operations because I had been kicked, knee and hip replacements, abdominal and shoulder surgeries.

According to the former world champion, once he had recovered from his tenth back operation, he still got the call from the pharmacy he used to go to and didn’t hesitate to take something he no longer needed.

  • Green light for marijuana use in the NBA: Players who smoke will not be sanctioned – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Green light for marijuana use in the NBA: Players who smoke will not be sanctioned – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

The NBA will reportedly lift the ban on marijuana use as part of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), one which is set to be approved soon and will last for seven years.

The last deal between the two parties included a clause stating that players who test positive to marijuana three times would be sanctioned for five games, and NBA players undergo drug tests around four times per season.

    Marijuana use in the NBA

JR Smith revealed last season that players used to smoke marijuana during the Bubble in Orlando after the COVID-19 outbreak.

“We was blowing it down in there,” JR Smith noted.

“You know what’s funny, though, is that that was the only way you could really function in that joint.

“It was cool, I’m glad it happened because it finally broke that barrier and that stigma that you couldn’t play and all of this. It was a drug, it was this and that.

“But when you go to the bubble basketball, some of them dudes… granted, it was like practice games and some of ’em really can’t play that well in front of 30,000… but at the same time you saw some of the best level of basketball.

“When you can be at peace with your mind, your body, and your soul, and you can go out there and just hoop, that’s all you want.”

Calls for the NBA to lift the marijuana ban

Since the Bubble, several players have called for the NBA to lift their ban on marijuana use.

“If you love it, you love it,” Durant told All The Smoke.

“If you don’t, you’re not even going to try it.

  • Prince Harry and drugs: Cocaine, marijuana, ayahuasca, and alcohol – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Prince Harry and drugs: Cocaine, marijuana, ayahuasca, and alcohol – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Prince Harry has held a live session with Dr. Gabor Mate, a specialist in addictions treatment, and didn’t hesitate to speak openly about drug use.

The Duke of Sussex has confessed that marijuana helped him a lot mentally. However, his experience with cocaine wasn’t that great, as he claims that it didn’t offer him anything beyond having a social component.

“[Cocaine] didn’t do anything for me, it was more a social thing,” Harry noted.

“It gave me a sense of belonging and probably also made me feel different to the way I was feeling.

Marijuana is different, that actually did really help me.”

    Ayahuasca also helped Prince Harry

On the other hand, the son of King Charles III also discussed about his experience with ayahuasca, a potent hallucinogen.

“It was the cleaning of the windshield, removal of life’s filters,” he added.

“It removed it all for me and brought me a sense of relaxation, release, comfort, a lightness that I managed to hold onto for a period of time.

“For me I started doing it recreationally and then started to realise how good it was for me. I would say it is one of the fundamental parts of my life that changed me and helped me deal with the traumas and the pains of the past.”

Talking about alcohol, Harry indicated it was also “more of a social thing”, complaining about peer pressure around drinking.
