22 Hidden Amazon Gems That Look Way More Expensive Than $20

    [ad_1]

Between restocking my more “boring” wardrobe basics and adding household products to my cart, it’s easy to forget that there are some surprisingly stylish items among Amazon’s never-ending product offerings. I might have let many of these hidden gems go unnoticed in the past, but I’ve been spending more time scrolling through the retailer’s site in lieu of an IRL shopping trip, and, well, discovering these affordable fashion items has been the upside.

Okay, so Amazon’s fashion section is hardly new or noteworthy (we’ve been publishing our edits of everything from coats to dresses for a while now), but the following 22 sweaters, jeans, sunglasses, bags, and more were hand-selected by yours truly for being exceptionally stylish for how affordable they are.

From trendy faux-fur bucket hats to wear-everywhere jewelry staples, you’ll find some impressive pieces here that are cheap but hardly look it. And since nothing in this roundup exceeds $20, they’re easier to add to your checkout cart alongside those baking essentials and cleaning supplies I know you’re already shopping for. With that, scroll down to shop all the hidden gems in my Amazon cart.

29 New Open Edit Finds From Nordstrom That Look Expensive (But Are Under $100)

    [ad_1]

If Nordstrom had saved searches, the first one I’d set up would be for new arrivals from Open Edit, the retailer’s affordable label for elevated basics and trend-forward pieces alike. I say this because every time the brand drops something new, I have to buy it. Even so, my regular Nordstrom checks keep me pretty in-the-know about fresh arrivals, which is how I discovered everything the brand just debuted.

From classics like oversize button-downs, split-hem leggings, and point-toe slingbacks to of-the-moment must-haves for the holiday season, from velvet midi skirts to slip dresses, the latest from Open Edit is all you need to see (and shop) today. Keep scrolling to get to it.

I Want the Après-Ski Aesthetic on a Budget—28 Affordable Pieces on My List

    [ad_1]

Vacation makes everything more fun, especially getting dressed. And winter vacations are no exception. The culture and aesthetic of destination ski-resort towns like Aspen, Lake Tahoe, and Telluride have taken on a life of their own, particularly when it comes to fashion.

From the slopes straight to the runway, designers have leaned into skicore, including quilting galore, kitschy snowsuits, and sportswear accessories. However, you don’t have to plan a grandiose trip or splurge on a pair of Miu Miu puffer pants to execute this playful winter aesthetic. These trends have trickled down, and I’m looking to play with this trend in my daily winter wardrobe without the expensive price tags.

I’ve broken down seven key trends that will help you get this après-ski aesthetic and picked the pieces that you need, on a budget. See my winter-wonderland shopping list below.

  • The 25 Best Winter Coats for Every Budget

The 25 Best Winter Coats for Every Budget

    [ad_1]

When it comes to everyday dressing, I consider myself somewhat of a minimalist, especially when winter rolls around. Now don’t get me wrong. I love a statement coat just as much as the next person, but I always try to fill my closet with outerwear staples that surpass the trend cycle, go with just about anything, and are actually warm. That said, I’m more apt to reach for a classic camel coat or a cozy teddy on any given day, saving more sartorially daring pieces—like busy prints, non-neutral colors, and unconventional silhouettes—for special occasions.

Looking to stock up on some no-fail classics that you can wear year after year? I scoured the internet for the 25 best winter coats currently for sale. (You’re welcome.) Keep scrolling for your guide to winter’s outerwear essentials, from sweeping wool styles to functional puffer coats and everything in between.

19 Pretty H&M Gems to Order While the Entire Site Is Still 30% Off

    [ad_1]

Like everyone else, I’m on the hunt for the very best deals this Cyber Monday, and as far as fashion sales go, H&M is one of the most cost-effective places to shop today. It’s offering a whopping 30% off (and free shipping) site-wide today. You don’t need a code as prices are marked, and if you have an H&M account, you get an extra 10% off.

All of that said, shopping the offering before the sale ends is highly recommended. While perusing H&M’s new arrivals, I noticed that it has tons of items right now that can best be described as pretty, perhaps because the holiday season calls for fancy and festive outfits. I chose 19 styles that you’ll probably love saving money and wearing eye-pleasing things is your MO. Scroll to shop them before prices go up by 30%.

  • 28 Lovely Nordstrom Items That Are Under $100 But Look Triple the Price

28 Lovely Nordstrom Items That Are Under $100 But Look Triple the Price

    [ad_1]

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again—I’m a really good Nordstrom shopper. I don’t have a lot of patience, generally speaking, but when it comes to sifting through the nearly endless pages of products on the retailer’s site, I have come to find it rather soothing. My best advice and secret to staying on top of everything on Nordstrom is to regularly check in on the new-arrivals section. It’s here I spot some of the best products before anyone else simply because I’m willing to take the time to go through it all.

Well, I am here to report that this week’s new arrivals are truly a step above the rest. As I was perusing the site, I came across so many under-$100 items that not only motivated me to instantly hit “add to cart” but that looked way more expensive than they actually were. It’s without exaggeration that I say when I saw all of the Nordstrom items below, I would have guessed they were at least triple the price. So what does that mean for you? That you can build an expensive-looking wardrobe with pieces that are less than $100 right here, right now.

  • I’m New to Running Outdoors in the Winter—30 Things I’d Add to My NYC Wardrobe

I’m New to Running Outdoors in the Winter—30 Things I’d Add to My NYC Wardrobe

    [ad_1]

There was a time in my life when if you asked me to run a mile, I’d say not a chance. The younger me would be shocked to hear that I’m a few days away from running my first 5K. While I used to be a strength and conditioning gal, cardio training has taken hold of me like no other lately and I’m always chasing that rush. I challenged myself to run a 5K for the first time because I was looking for a new way to set goals and improve my fitness. Now that I’ve successfully completed my practice round, I know for a fact that I’ll be spending my winters going for runs outdoors and will need a wardrobe to match.

I’ve never actually had an outdoor fitness routine in the winter and I am very new to this all, but after browsing my favorite fitness sites and asking a few friends for their tips and tricks, I think I’ve got it down. Experienced runners I’ve spoken to mentioned focusing on keeping the extremities warm with a soft beanie and gloves being essential. Wearing tight layers seems to be the move for underneath. A winter coat would be too bulky and keep me too warm, so I am really finding myself drawn to light jackets and quarter-zips. Running shoes with traction are also a must-have. Below, find 30 things I’m thinking of adding to my NYC wardrobe to keep me warm this winter.

I Just Shopped for 6 Straight Hours—These 32 Black Friday Finds Blew Me Away

    [ad_1]

Black Friday is to me what the Super Bowl is to Bucs fans ever since Tom Brady entered the chat. I wait all year for the day to come, strategizing to no end so that when the sales begin to trickle in, I’m fully prepared to score the best deals. And after six straight hours of online shopping (with only two short breaks to snack on leftovers) and weeks of planning, my shopping list is impressive to say the least.

Given that I already did all that work and successfully pressed purchase on all the items I personally wanted, it only feels right to share the love. Blame it on the holiday spirit or, more likely, “Karma” by Taylor Swift, which played on a loop the entire time I was shopping. I Get Why This Affordable Brand Is Always Going Viral—29 Must-See Sale Buys

The nostalgic feeling that bubbles up for us fashion people, when one of the most popular brands from childhood has a moment, is immense. The reemergence of Abercrombie & Fitch in recent years has me feeling some type of way. I distinctly remember the retail location at the local mall in my teenage years and begging my parents to take me there. The brand has grown up with its most loyal fans now being known as the best place to shop for workwear and everyday wardrobe staples that feel elevated.

One of the most notable things about Abercrombie & Fitch right now is that they have a way of going viral on TikTok. I’ve stumbled upon countless pieces from Abercrombie & Fitch that have brought the wow factor to my For You Page and gotten over a million views. I’m ready to find out for myself if its latest new arrivals are worthy of the stamp of approval the virality brings with it. • 36 Epic Sweaters I Want From J.Crew, H&M, Zara, and Mango

36 Epic Sweaters I Want From J.Crew, H&M, Zara, and Mango

    [ad_1]

This is an admittedly bold statement, but I love sweaters more than any other clothing item. Aside from being cozy, they’re ridiculously easy to style, you can find great ones at any and every price point, and you can easily find options to suit any style type under the sun. But let’s circle back to price points and focus on the lower end of the spectrum.

Four of the best affordable retailers to shop for sweaters are, undoubtedly, J.Crew, H&M, Zara, and Mango. This has been the case for a long time, but year after year, these brands’ options get even better. There are so many excellent pieces for this fall and winter that I had to share them with you, so here we are with my roundup of the best sweaters from four of the most popular brands on the planet. They’re all pretty great, so good luck narrowing it down from here.

  • I Searched High and Low for the Best Teddy Coats, and Here They Are

I Searched High and Low for the Best Teddy Coats, and Here They Are

    [ad_1]

It’s been a mild 60° across both coasts, but in case there was any doubt, as soon as the slightest hint of chill touches my skin, I’m slipping on a teddy coat. Teddy coats are soft, cozy, and quite literally the next best thing to wearing a blanket in public, so there really isn’t a con to owning one. Less stuffy than a sharp wool coat and more polished than a bulky puffer, it’s that nice middle ground between the outerwear extremes. It’s a quintessential winter piece that can be styled with jeans or tailored trousers.

While the finest of the bunch (aka Max Mara’s beloved Teddy Bear Icon Coat) can definitely enter splurge territory, plenty of quality options exist that won’t require a whole rent check. Thankfully, I found the best the internet has to offer—from under-$100 coats to sumptuous luxe options. Keep scrolling to see them all.

  • Hill House Home Founder Nell Diamond on How She Came Up With The Nap Dress

Hill House Home Founder Nell Diamond on How She Came Up With The Nap Dress

    [ad_1]

Did you think it was going to be the sensation that it has been?

We launched The Nap Dress in 2019, and the business started in 2016. The first couple of years of the business were really focused on very low and slow growth. Really being profitable, being responsible, finding out what our unique product market fit was. That involved a lot of testing of new products.

With The Nap Dress, in particular, we launched it I think it was June 2019. I was totally not expecting this. Totally beyond not expecting this, and I am the biggest planner. I love an Excel spreadsheet. I’ve got my Google Calendar all filled up. I need to know what I’m doing in like 10 minute increments, but at the same time, I always joke that we like to leave a little bit of room for Jesus.

We want to see what happens. Let things live a little bit in the world. With The Nap Dress, we got the prototypes. I was obsessed. Beyond obsessed.

I knew what this product was going to mean for me in my life. At the same time, I think I was rational enough to know that it could just be me. If people don’t like it, that’s fine, because I’ll figure out a way to make a small enough quantity that me and three other girls in my office we’re gonna wear it and that doesn’t matter if nobody else likes it.

Then we launched it. For the next about two years, every single time we dropped new Nap Dresses, they sold out.

It was definitely a very exciting and humbling next couple of years as the news of the dress traveled on its own.

11 Everyday Items I Wish I’d Waited Until Black Friday to Buy

    [ad_1]

The beauty of Black Friday sales is that, on top of the amazing deals on gift-worthy items, you’ll find highly covetable fashion items for every season of the year from low-priced brands all the way up to designer labels. Since I’m somewhat of an avid shopper, I tend to buy those everyday items I need (aka basics) when I need them, but based on the number of stylish basics I’ve seen on sale this week, I really wish I’d waited and bought my jeans, tees, sweaters, and coats in bulk this week.

Some of the best brands for basics, such as Reformation, H&M, Madewell, and & Other Stories, are having great sales right now, so if you’re like me, your head is probably spinning. I can help with that if you keep scrolling. And if you’re not like me and haven’t already bought all the basics you need for the time being, you’ve come to the right place. I rounded up the 11 everyday wardrobe staples that I highly suggest shopping for today as well as the most stylish sale items in each one of those categories. Good luck today, folks. I know we’ll need it.

  • I Said I Wouldn’t Buy Any New Coats This Year, But These Are Too Good to Pass Up

I Said I Wouldn’t Buy Any New Coats This Year, But These Are Too Good to Pass Up

    [ad_1]

For someone who lives in what anyone off the island of Manhattan would consider a shoe box, I own a lot of coats. From floor-length styles made of wool and leather to insulated puffers for running in the coldest of temperatures, my collection checks off every box. Yet when I saw brands start to drop their fall outerwear offerings a few weeks ago, I felt a familiar feeling creep up—the same one that led me toward buying the many coats I already do own.

Despite promising myself that this year would be different and that I wouldn’t once again invest in a coat, or coats, I don’t technically need, it seems the options this season are just too good to resist. At this rate, I’m going to need an entire storage unit dedicated to my growing outerwear collection. On the bright side, at least I won’t have to worry about frostbite once winter eventually arrives.

Ahead, shop the coats that broke me down with as little as one glance.

  • Pants Are Out, and Underwear Is In—6 Risqué Runway Looks That Prove It

Pants Are Out, and Underwear Is In—6 Risqué Runway Looks That Prove It

    [ad_1]

In addition to simple, pared-down looks on the spring 2023 runways, the latest fashion season also offered up its fair share of more risqué ensembles, one of which involves ditching pants entirely and wearing underwearonly. Even more surprising, though, was how alluring the trend turned out to be. Rather than over-the-top or showy, designers like Matthieu Blazy at Bottega Veneta and Victoria Beckham showcased the pantsless look in the most high-brow of manners.

What leveled up the concept was the way in which it was styled on the runways, which I suggest you take note of for when you test out the trend IRL. At both of the aforementioned presentations, models ditched pants and wore just tights instead, paired with classic heels and either a simple knit (at Bottega Veneta) or a lace bra and tailored blazer (at Victoria Beckham).

In contrast, Miu Miu Creative Director Miuccia Prada used long, layered T-shirts and knee-high open-toe boots to create the illusion that going out sans trousers was no big deal. At Del Core, thigh-high stockings provided just enough coverage to make a bodysuit (and only a bodysuit) suitable for everyday, and at Coperni, a cropped blazer was made to turn high-rise black briefs into a put-together ensemble.

All that’s to say if you were planning on investing heavily in trousers come spring, don’t. Or at least, don’t buy so many that you can’t afford a few pairs of show-worthy panties and snag-proof tights. I promise they’ll come in handy because the pantsless trend, no matter how impractical, is here to stay.

Nope, Bomber Jackets Aren’t Dead—32 New Styles to Prove It

    [ad_1]

Typically, a fashion trend has a short life span when it goes viral overnight. However, year after year, season after season, there has been one overnight trend in particular that has remained relevant: the bomber jacketThe outerwear became an off-duty-supermodel sensation around 2015. As if they planned it, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Bella Hadid were spotted all over New York and L.A. wearing the trendy piece.

Since then, the style has prevailed on the runways as designers have reworked it every season. No longer just considered an athleisure staple, this jacket’s ability to be seasonless and genderless has cemented it as an essential part of everyday ensemblesAnd now that the trend has fully saturated, bomber jackets are available at every price point. From casual and lightweight to fuzzy and fleece-lined, there are so many bomber jacket styles to choose from. If you know me, you know that I know my way around a good sale, and holiday sale season is my time to shine. When I was younger (and shopping in malls was still a thing), my sisters, mother, and I would wake up early on Black Friday and run to all the great deals we could get. J. Crew, Nordstrom, and Madewell have been at the top of my list when it comes to retailers that my wardrobe is yearning for.
