  • I’m a Pro Shopper Who’s Obsessed with Black Coats—These Are the Best For Fall

I’m a Pro Shopper Who’s Obsessed with Black Coats—These Are the Best For Fall

    [ad_1]

The funny thing about this story is that, up until seven years ago when I moved to New York from my native Los Angeles, I don’t think I actually owned a coat. Jackets, yes, (ranging from light to less light), but somehow I got by most of my life without a single piece of outerwear that was required for real fall and winter weather. But oh how things change…

Now, I’m practically a collector of coats—99% of which are black. From everyday styles to evening-ready pieces ranging from ultra classic to on-trend and affordable to expensive, I’ve seen and bought them all. Plus, from the months of October to February I wear one every single day, so it’s safe to say that at this point know a thing or two about the category. Have I sold you on my expertise yet? Then it’s time to dive in. Below you’ll find the best black coats of the season, according to me. From H&M to The Row, I’ve got something for every budget and style type so you can rest assured there’s no need to look anywhere else. Simply keep scrolling to get started and see what made the cut.

If there’s one thing about the Who What Wear editors you need to know, it’s that the majority of our screen time is spent on Nordstrom‘s online site. Regardless, I still get a little giddy when I scroll on the retailer’s new-arrivals section at the start of a new season. This time, Nordstrom’s new fall offerings are not to be missed.

I’m Shook—These 30 Items From Ref and Anthro Are Surprisingly Affordable

    [ad_1]

I’m not sure about you, but the only two retailers on my mind right now are Anthropologie and Reformation. As a shopping editor, I, of course, check these sites all the time to dig and report back on the best-of-the-best pieces on the market. But lately, when I’m doing my personal shopping, I’m always gravitating toward Anthropologie’s or Reformation‘s website with a fine-tooth comb. Now these two retailers are known for a lot of things—celebrity-loved items, expensive-looking accessories, and incredibly sleek silhouettes—but they’re not exactly known for having items on the cheap side. Not to worry. If you know me, you know that finding items that look way pricier than they actually are is my area of expertise. On my latest Ref and Anthro deep dive, I found 30 chic pieces that are perfect for the upcoming fall season and are all under $150. I can’t shut up about these items. You’re going to want to act fast because I have a feeling a few of these items will be sold out by November.

  • I’m Doing No-Spend September, But These Under-$300 Fall Finds Are Tempting Me

I’m Doing No-Spend September, But These Under-$300 Fall Finds Are Tempting Me

    [ad_1]

September kicks off my favorite time of the year. For the next three months, I’m absolutely giddy about everything from the weather to the activities and, of course, the fashion. But I’ll admit I tend to get too excited scrolling through all the new arrivals at the start of the fall season—I end up impulse shopping right at the beginning, then later wishing I had been more strategic in adding only pieces I truly loved or actually needed.

This year, I decided to commit to a shopping freeze for all of September to give myself time to assess all the new pieces. The goal with this strategy is to provide myself the time and space to be thoughtful about what I’m choosing to invest in and ensure I only add things to my wardrobe that have longevity. However, since browsing fall collections is part of my job, I’ve come across some particularly good pieces at reasonable price points that are really testing my willpower. Since I’m technically still on my freeze, I figured I would highlight the items I’m currently eyeing so someone out there can take advantage. From cashmere turtlenecks to cozy cable-knits to distressed leather jackets, these are the best under-$300 fall fashion items.

  • My Friend Asked What To Buy at Mango for Under-$100—I Sent Her These 34 Finds

My Friend Asked What To Buy at Mango for Under-$100—I Sent Her These 34 Finds

    [ad_1]

We’ve heard it time and again: Fashion people have a knack for making cheap things look far more expensive than they actually are. Ask any Who What Wear editor, and they’ll tell you the same thing. When it comes to elevated basics, classic cuts, and trend-forward pieces, Mango is the shopping destination if you don’t want to spend the equivalent of a mortgage on a new wardrobe. It’s a fan favorite among the European crowd, and as someone who shops a lot, I appreciate that it’s easy on my wallet. Win-win.

So, naturally, when my friend texted me to ask where she should shop this season now that she’s turning over her closet, I instantly knew what direction to point her in. Ahead of fall, Mango has just refreshed its entire collection, debuting new pieces that will make you feel like a million bucks without costing it. If there’s a piece you’ve long had your eye on from the runway, chances are Mango has a similar item for a quarter of the price. Even if you’re looking for everyday, timeless pieces, Mango has you covered.

Below, all of the under-$100 pieces you need from Mango ASAP before they sell out. Thank me later!

  • I’m 5’2″ and Eyeing These Under-$100 Zara, Nordstrom, and H&M Finds for Fall

I’m 5’2″ and Eyeing These Under-$100 Zara, Nordstrom, and H&M Finds for Fall

    [ad_1]

What does a 5’2” fashion editor who’s nearly maxed out her fall shopping budget before the season has even started have left on her wish list? Under-$100 finds that are universally lovable but especially suited to fellow petite people, of course! Niche, I know, but sometimes it’s nice to hone in a little, and today I felt like targeting my specific sartorial needs and budget all in one.

So what difference does it make when shopping for someone who’s much closer in height to five feet than six? I would say it’s subtle, but there are definitely some important factors to consider. For example, the always-flattering matching set is a go-to, shoes with any sort of platform are keepers, and jeans and pants tend to be a perfect balance between slim and wide so that you can still get a nice shape in without looking like they’re swallowing you whole. Of course, there are also those basics and trend pieces that are simply great for anyone, regardless of their body type, and I’ve uncovered quite a few of those today, too. To see and shop all the above and more—with the help of Zara, Nordstrom, and H&M—simply keep scrolling.

  • Meet The Bougiest, (Yet Surprisingly Affordable) Lingerie Trend I’ve Been Loving

Meet The Bougiest, (Yet Surprisingly Affordable) Lingerie Trend I’ve Been Loving

    [ad_1]

Much like anything form-fitting, or that requires fasteners to put on, bras have taken a backseat in my clothing lineup. It wasn’t exactly an intentional fashion exile on my part: but when most office days include settling in on the couch with stretchy pants, it’s easy to disregard them as a vital part of a weekday wardrobe. After months of barely even looking at a bra, I decided to give them another go in an attempt to get out of my much too relaxed pajama pants uniform. I found that even when I’m throwing on the same button-down or turtleneck for the second time in a week, and happen to scarcely leave my apartment, a bra at least provides some pretense of feeling put together. And an option that can’t help but make you feel good? Welcome to the wonderful world of the silk bra.

Much like how a silk shirt instantly creates an air of elegance, silk bras pretty much do the same when it comes to lingerie. They’re a little dose of luxury that quickly lifts my mood–even if I’m the only one who knows I’m wearing it. With that said, I’m sure you too could use a little something to lift your spirits, so I’ve put all of the internet’s best silk bras in one place. From bralettes to those of the push-up variety, scroll below to peruse and shop all of the ones I’m loving right now.
