  • Grounded 2 Update: The Toxic Tangle – Available Now – Xbox Wire

    [ad_1]

    Summary

    • The Toxic Tangle update is available now, expanding Grounded 2 with a massive new Garden biome to explore, new creatures and gear, the mysterious Tang effect, and much more.
    • Ride into danger on the Ladybug Buggy, a heavy-duty mount with a water cannon, ramming charge, and serious tank energy.
    • The Founder’s Pack has been updated, with new decorative unlocks for players ready to show off their park style.

    The garden is awake.

Ominent’s experiments have taken a sour turn, and a strange new corruption is spreading across Brookhollow Park. Tang now stains the soil, seeps into water, and clings to unsuspecting creatures—and it’s up to you to survive whatever’s brewing beneath the surface.

Welcome to The Toxic Tangle, the first major content update for Grounded 2, available now for all players. This update expands the park with a new biome, new creatures, armor and weapons, trinkets, building sets, and a few threats that may be more than they appear.

    A Whole New Garden

Overgrown vines choke the greenhouse, creating twisting paths and hidden crawlspaces. These massive monstrosities and staggering structures all combine to produce that ‘how did I get up there?’ moment. The Garden biome is ripe for exploration, stacked with vertical climbs, secret stashes, and probably a bug or two you didn’t see coming.

From the pumpkin patch to the carrot jungle, every corner offers something to harvest, hoard, or accidentally aggro. It’s big, it’s messy, and it’s absolutely crawling with trouble. Bring your best gear—and maybe a backup plan.

    The Ladybug Buggy Rolls In

One of Grounded’s most iconic bugs is finally rideable—and she’s not here to play nice.

The Ladybug Buggy is a heavy-duty, tank-style mount equipped with a pressurized water cannon. Use it to blast airborne pests out of the sky, rinse away sour Tang buildup, or just give your enemies a bad day. It can also ram headfirst into foes with a powerful charge and slowly regenerates health over time.

If you ever jumped on a ladybug in the first Grounded and wished you could stay there, this one’s for you.

    New Threats (and Familiar Faces)

The Garden is full of life, but not all of it wants to share the space.

New creatures like the coordinated Earwigs, the bulky Potato Beetles, and the soon-to-be  fan-favorite, the Woolly Aphid, will challenge your reflexes, your timing, and your trust in anything with antennae.

You might also want to keep your eyes open. The Masked Stranger may have retreated after your first encounter, but she’s not gone—and she may not be alone.

Oh, and the Snake Colossus? You’ll know it when you see it. Probably right before it sees you.

Mutation Updates, BUILD.M Upgrades & More

Mutations have leveled up. They’re now split into active and passive types—actives still work the way you know and love, but passives now apply automatically based on your weapon loadout. That means less menu juggling and more time doing cool stuff, like perfect blocking a Tang-covered Rust Beetle or showing off your hybrid build mid-fight.

And for all the architects, decorators, and “I-just-need-one-more-wall-piece” players out there, this update’s for you. The builder toolkit gets a serious upgrade with new kits like the Pumpkin Set, a refreshed Mushroom Kit, Scale Roof Set, updated Acorn Stairs, and a community request for floor hatches. It’s all about more pieces, better parity between sets, and smoother snapping to bring your backyard blueprints to life.

Whether you’re crafting a greenhouse hideout, a pumpkin fortress, or a garden party palace, we can’t wait to see what you build—and share. Tag us, drop it in Discord, or show it off wherever you hang out. We’ll be watching (with admiration, not binoculars).

The Garden MIX.R and O.R.C. wave challenges are also live, ready for anyone who thinks they’re tough enough to survive the swarm.

Lastly, the Founder’s Pack also grows with this update, adding new base-building items like the High Roller’s Dice Bag, Champion’s Banner, and more ways to personalize your park adventure.

    What’s Next?

Alongside this update, we’re preparing for the return of Playgrounds Mode, entering PTB (Public Test Beta) in February with all the core tools from the first Grounded. Whether you’re building mini-games, boss arenas, or custom gauntlets, Playgrounds will give creators the tools they need to thrive. To keep an eye on what’s coming to Brookhollow Park, be sure to check out our updated roadmap for a sneak peek at what’s in store for Grounded 2.

There’s never been a better time to shrink down, suit up, and explore the weirdest corners of Brookhollow Park. • Why The Samurai of the Red Carnation Will Surprise You

    [ad_1]

Book Overview: The Samurai of the Red Carnation

Content Warnings: violence, war, fire, heartbreak, betrayal

Summary: An irresistibly winning romantic historical adventure, set in medieval Japan and tinged with fantasy, revolving around the art of waka poetry.

Matsuo is expected to be a samurai, like his father before him. But as he is training in the art of war, he realises he was destined for a different art altogether. Turning his back on his future as a warrior of the sword, he decides instead to do battle with words, as a poet.

Thus begins a story of intrigue and adventure, passion and betrayal. Matsuo’s quest to find his true self, and his true love, takes him across medieval Japan, through bloody battlefields and burning cities. But his ultimate test will be the uta awase – a tournament where Japan’s greatest poets engage in fierce verbal combat for the honour of victory, and where Matsuo will find himself fighting for his life.

The Samurai of the Red Carnation is both a thrilling, swashbuckling adventure and a sensitive meditation on love and poetry. Denis Thériault, is known for his award-winning novel, The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman, which also made extensive use of original poetry in Japanese styles and which won the author the Japan-Canada Book Prize.

Image Source: Courtesy of Penguin Random House

Imagine training with a sword and realizing your true weapon is a poem. Denis Thériault’s novel mixes swashbuckling adventure with tender romance in a lyrical way. It’s like watching a grand samurai film with a poetry score. From its vivid medieval Japan scenes to an epic poetry duel, the story feels fresh and full of wonder. For those of you who crave both adrenaline and artistry, this tale delivers something truly new!

The Samurai of the Red Carnation follows Matsuo, born into a samurai family but secretly a poet. Instead of wielding a sword, he picks up a pen. Bending tradition, the biggest battles in his life shift from war to words; Matsuo must fight for his life with verses instead of blades. His journey begins with one bold choice: abandon his destiny as a warrior. That kind of passion, choosing art over duty, makes Matsuo surprisingly relatable.

A Samurai By Name, A Poet By Nature

From the start, Matsuo is torn between duty and desire. He trains as a warrior, but a secret longing for poetry calls. When he walks away from his armor, he shows courage of a different sort: the courage to follow his true self. He learns waka, a classical form of Japanese verse, from a wild Zen master on his journey. This mischievous teacher, more rogue monk than sensei, turns Matsuo’s world upside down with riddles and verses. Thériault lets us feel Matsuo’s dreams and doubts. Even when Matsuo stumbles, he remains a hero you root for!

An Ancient Japan Painted In Words

The setting is a major draw. Thériault, long fascinated by Japan, paints Heian-era Kyoto and beyond with vivid detail. You can almost smell incense in a shrine and feel the heat of a burning city. In fact, the novel opens on a night when Kyoto is ablaze, hinting at intrigue to come. Peace and turmoil live side by side: in one chapter Matsuo meditates in a garden; in the next he hides from samurai on a mountainside path. You sense an era where beauty and danger collide… where courtly grace meets clan rivalries on the horizon.

    Battles Of Wit And Wordplay

Forget sword duels; the book’s fiercest fights are poetry contests called uta-awase. Picture a medieval rap battle: poets duel with clever verses and sharp insults. A panel of nobles listens as if lives depend on each line (because they often do). Losing can mean ruin. Thériault treats these word duels like life-or-death matches. Between the quips and metaphors, you really feel the tension. Fans of wordplay will relish it. Every so often, even a single line can feel as sharp as a blade!

    Forbidden Love And Family Loyalties

Of course there’s romance. Matsuo falls for a princess’s attendant, a poised young woman with a secret smile, who is already promised to a powerful general. Their situation feels like star-crossed fate: an ache anyone who’s loved from afar will recognize. Even with war swirling around them, their quiet connection blooms. This romance brings real heat and heartbreak. Family expectations and battle pressures add drama! Each choice tests Matsuo’s loyalty and honor. Yet hope flickers through it all, and each setback strengthens his resolve while keeping the story moving.

Mystery, Myth, And A Touch Of Fantasy

The novel isn’t just historical… it hints at something mystical! Heian Japan was said to be “haunted by spirits of Nature,” and Thériault weaves in that sense of the uncanny. The story opens with a mysterious figure watching Kyoto burn, casting a strange shadow over Matsuo’s path. Other moments feel dreamlike: a shrine that murmurs secrets, or a poem that reads like a prophecy. The line between reality and myth blurs in small, eerie ways! These touches give the journey a magical sheen.

    Thériault’s Poetic Legacy

Denis Thériault’s earlier hit The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman also mixed Japanese verse into its tale; it even won the Japan–Canada Book Prize. Fans of that quirky, lyrical style will find plenty here! Thériault’s prose often reads like poetry itself: carefully chosen, rhythmic, and full of gentle humor. Even the action scenes have an elegance, as if choreographed. The English version keeps that charm, making the verses and jokes land smoothly. All in all, it feels like a novel as carefully crafted as a poem.

For anyone who wonders if the pen is mightier than the sword, Matsuo’s world might have the answer!

“Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.”

  • ‘Hello Kitty Island Adventure’ Apple Arcade Review – How Is This So Good? – TouchArcade

‘Hello Kitty Island Adventure’ Apple Arcade Review – How Is This So Good? – TouchArcade

    [ad_1]

What a journey this one is. A title first dropped as a joke in South Park to make Butters look uncool becomes an Apple Arcade game and somehow against all odds is actually fantastic. Hello Kitty Island Adventure () might look like Animal Crossing in screenshots, but that’s really just one facet of the game. There’s a bit of The Legend of Zelda in here, and it even reminded me of A Short Hike at times. How is a game based on Sanrio characters as clever and fun as this? Really a well-done effort all-around. Let’s look at exactly what it is.

The first thing you’re presented with is a fairly limited character creator, after which you will find yourself on a plane with various Sanrio characters. You have the chance to talk to everyone, after which Kitty causes a mess, Badtz-maru drops a movie reference that everyone who has played this game has taken a screenshot of, and everyone is forced to parachute down to the island below. It once played host to a theme park, and you’re all there to… you know, I don’t remember? Visit it? Get it up and running again? The important thing is that it’s a pretty big area and not all of the passengers landed in the same place. Most of you luckily ended up in a central seaside area that is perfect for learning how to play the game. What luck!

The various characters will give you quests to complete. Some of them are fetch quests. Lots of them are, really. Completing them will of course give you some rewards, and might increase your friendship level with that character. Leveling up your friendships will give you access to more quests and more rewards, some of which are tools you can use to explore more of the world around you. You can actually explore a surprisingly large area from the start, but your inability to swim will keep you from going too far. Eventually you’ll get items that allow you explore more thoroughly, and the world opens up to a shockingly big degree. There are some overarching goals that you’ll stumble upon before long, plus tons of smaller ones that may or may not lead to something important. There is also an absolute bucket load of side activities to do like fishing and bug collecting. There are even little mini-races that award you with trophies of various levels based on your time.

You’ll also sometimes find yourself exploring underground, in buildings, and around other structures. There are honest-to-goodness puzzles in these places, often variations on switch problems but often something else entirely. It’s never excessively difficult, likely in deference to the idea that young kids might be playing, but some of them do require a bit of creative thought. Speaking of difficulty, there’s no real way to get hurt or die in the game. At most, you can end up falling off the screen or into the water before you have the right items, at which point you’ll just respawn at the last safe place your feet were touching.

It’s interesting because while there is a lot of Animal Crossing in this game, there’s also a lot more structure to send you off on linear threads if that’s what you want. Go solve the mysteries of the islands and track down the other characters. Get all of the tools so you can explore fully. Or just hang around and try to bake every single thing possible. Go fishing for a bit. Decorate houses with furniture that you buy, find, or craft. Invite guests and complete the quests they issue. Design some new threads for your character. Wear silly costumes. Take selfies with all of the hidden Gudetamas. See if you can improve your island’s Vibe score. It’s amazing how much this game checks off the life simulation boxes while also giving you more traditional gamey bits like exploration and puzzle-solving.

The controls are very simple, with a virtual stick for moving your character around and a few buttons on the other side for using your collected tools or talking to people. Pressing on the right side anywhere but the button spaces makes you jump, and you can press it again to float with your balloons. The platforming is a bit clunky at times and you can easily get stuck in places, but the game will always get you out of any messes you get into. Various menus allow you to change your tools or check your items, and a robust map and quest log ensure you’re never stranded about what to do. You can also easily see how much of each collection you’ve finished.

Simply put, Hello Kitty Island Adventure is a game you can really get stuck into for hours. I ran down my battery practically without noticing the time go by on multiple occasions while playing the game for this review. I was expecting a simple Animal Crossing clone because that is really all it had to be. You don’t have to flex that hard when you’re using characters as familiar as Kitty and My Melody, after all. It’s just a game for little kids, right? But developer Sunblink went and made a game that I think just about anyone can enjoy, regardless of age or familiarity with games. I also appreciate how cleverly written it is. That is one of the secret strengths of Animal Crossing that so many of the games inspired by it don’t get right.

Apart from some weirdness with the platforming and clipping, the only real knock I have on this game is that the multiplayer didn’t work properly for me during the whole time I was playing the game. I bet it would be fun, but for now it just doesn’t seem to connect. I’ve been informed the developer is working on a fix, but right now it is what it is. Luckily the game is immensely enjoyable in single player, so it’s not going to hurt things too badly.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think Hello Kitty Island Adventure is one of my favorite mobile games of this year so far. It’s so much more than I expected it to be, so much more than it needed to be, and I genuinely appreciate just how compelling it is from head to toe. I’ve been vocal amongst my peers about how Apple Arcade needs more reasons to subscribe these days. Well, here’s one extremely good reason. Butters was right the whole time.

Entrepreneur | Four Things Entrepreneurs Don’t Need, According to This Outdoor Adventurer and Creative Founder

    [ad_1]

In this ongoing series, we are sharing advice, tips and insights from real entrepreneurs who are out there doing business battle on a daily basis. (Answers have been edited and condensed for clarity.)

Who are you and what’s your business?

My name is L. Renee Blount. I am a professional athlete, (@urbanclimbr on Instagram), and founder of WndrHaus, a full-service creative house where whimsey, brand strategy, production and storytelling meet. We work to illuminate untold stories and rethink the future. Our biggest clients are interested in tapping our passion to showcase joy, flavor and adventure amongst underrepresented groups, as well as go-to-market strategies for campaigns.

What inspired you to create this business?

Very simply, my love for the outdoors and the creative realm, and not seeing many of “me” represented out there. Meaning, three things:

    1. A black-owned and women-owned business where I am a rarity in both the outdoor and creative consulting businesses (product and brand specifically).

    2. Ownership to open doors not just for myself in these industries but for others as well. I hire an all-women crew whenever possible for my assignments because I know that in my personal experience, I have been overlooked simply because “a man can carry more equipment” on certain expeditions, where I knew I should have been chosen and could have produced even more amazing content for those companies.

    3. I love the behind-the-scenes action. It’s often not the most famous people who are moving and shaking things. It’s those who are connected and provide a business case as to why it matters. I want to play in this space for a long time. Since my time working in brand strategy & innovation, I rarely have seen people who look like me, which illuminates the structural issues to get here, but importantly highlights. There’s so much room to do really rad and epic things that are different. I bring a different energy and such different perspectives from my peers – and more importantly, an exuberance that I am really proud to take ownership of. I truly believe in what I am doing and want to make sure I’m a gate opener, rather than a gatekeeper.

Related: It’s Never Too Late to Launch Your Dream, Say These Skincare Entrepreneurs

I didn’t get to play a ton of sports or camp growing up, but I did attend a high school that was deeply concentrated on the arts, which was instrumental in many ways in getting me where I am now. I pursued a graduate degree in architecture at Harvard, which transitioned into a career as a creative director where I could marry my love for the outdoors and creativity while having an impact in representing the underrepresented through my work and in my community. Because I wasn’t seeing marketing campaigns and ads that reflected me or who looked like my friends, I wanted to change not only that but also make climbing more accessible to people of color who normally don’t have access due to financial limitations or not having the opportunity culturally. I know that I have a special gift for making content more accessible to the everyday person, and showing more joy and flavor in my work.

What advice would you give entrepreneurs looking for funding?

It starts with relationships and having a vision. It’s a game of hustle, where I keep learning and maneuvering wherever possible. It’s about being able to learn on the fly, being respectful yet persistent and pleasant, staying nimble with the changes and being willing to fail – but learning how to fail forward. For example, someone with more resources than I do will have a bigger window to fail. For someone with fewer resources, we have to figure out how to make the window of possible failure shorter because you might not have as much fallback. You have to think about what you’ll do if it doesn’t go well, and have a cushion to take a risk like having enough savings and the right timing.

What does the word “entrepreneur” mean to you?

Entrepreneurship is leaving a legacy like nothing else. By helping to create a new set of rules, a new playbook, and a new flow that adds to the lexicon of what is happening and how we can progress forward. As an entrepreneur, it means we exist to serve one another, not just our pockets. It is being a steward of trust and decency to your partners. More importantly, you have the ability to hire and uplift others, especially your community, which is powerful.

Related: You Don’t Have to Be a Business Owner to Think Like an Entrepreneur

What is something many aspiring business owners think they need that they really don’t?

Simply, I went to too much school. As a first-generation student, I thought it was the ticket. With little guidance, I was book-smart and was not cognizant of other avenues. I didn’t know they existed. Hence, I believe in seeking out people to converse with now constantly to illuminate what’s possible and understand much sooner.

When people ask me about the graduate school path and often ask about Harvard, I really ask what their reasonings are. I ask them about their ROI and what that adjacency will really do for them. For some, it makes sense, for many it absolutely does not, especially if they have a full-ride elsewhere (It also depends on the degree. I don’t believe in going to high debt for lower-income yielding fields). It’s about financial mobility especially when you have access to fewer resources. I could wax poetic on that longer!

As someone who comes from a single-parent household, I’m filled with gratitude that I’ve been able to navigate this path. It’s been far from easy. There’s a lot I’ve had to do to learn. And THAT I can never regret. Information is such an unlock. Getting coffees with the executives you’d like to be can shave off so much time – and money too.

Other things you may not need:

    • A grandiose vision: Maybe you want to solve something that’s simple. That’s what it was in my case initially. I didn’t see myself represented out there and because I came from brand strategy & innovation, the solutions seemed obvious to me. And I could speak to it.

    • Lots of voices: Go for it. You may not hear validation for a while and that’s okay if you’ve done your research.

    • Balance: I think it doesn’t exist for many, to be truthful. Enjoy the work and know it does take sacrifice.

    • Debt: I worked a full-time job until I could leave. I had a shorter window of time to take that risk (due to a small fallback), but I tried to make the most out of it when I jumped in head first. If I failed, it was okay. My mom and grandmother knew what it was like to not be supported in taking risks, so they cheered me on. That meant everything.

More importantly, what you do need is a cheerleader, grit, and hope. You have the ability to take risks.

UNESCO Site Machupicchu Among Peru’s 4 Awards at 2021 World Travel Awards South America

    [ad_1]

The award-winning Pacific Coast, South American destination, Peru, is a haven for nature and adventure travelers, offering diverse land, sea, and wildlife activities to experience.

Peru, on the Pacific Coast of South America, is home to extraordinary ancient ruins, gorgeous beaches, lush Amazon jungles, spectacular mountains, and more, making it perfect for nature and adventure-loving travelers. It’s also one of South America’s most award-winning destinations for 2021, as informed by PROMPERU, Peru’s Export and Tourism Promotion Agency.

Peru left the podium at the 2021 World Travel Awards South America, weighed down with four awards in a range of categories. It’s no surprise that the continent’s most famous ancient archaeological site, Machupicchu, was named South America’s Leading Tourist Attraction 2021 during the awards ceremony. As a supreme testament to the country’s wide-ranging cultural and natural wealth, Peru was also bestowed with South America’s Leading Cultural Destination 2021 and South America’s Leading Culinary Destination 2021 awards.

Travelers can’t go wrong choosing the country, now honoring its bicentennial, another reason for celebration. With easy connections to the United States from the award-winning international airport, Peru makes for a great getaway option this coming winter season, summer in South America. Must-try nature and adventure-filled vacation activities are spread across the country and include:

Cusco Trekking: The capital of the ancient Inca Empire, Cusco is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the Western Hemisphere and was made a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. The city streets retain the skillfully cut Inca stone architecture, preserved in the lower stories of overlaid Spanish colonial structures. Nearby trekking opportunities abound.

One important trail is Camino del Inca, starting near Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley, ending at Machupicchu, South America’s most important archaeological site. The Inca Trail is lined with amazing ruins, hikers making the trek with the assistance of Peruvian guides and porters. There are three different routes, including the Classic Inca Trail (or Four-day Trek) and the Sacred Inca Trail (or Two-Day Trek), both meeting at the Wiñay Wayna ruins to the Inti Punku, the ‘Sun Gate’ offering a first glimpse of Machupicchu. There is also the Salkantay Alternate Trek, the longest of the three, ending at Aguas Calientes at the base of Machupicchu. Other trails include Salkantay Trek (or Salcantay), from a Quechua word meaning “Savage Mountain,” named one of the 25 best Treks in the World by National Geographic Adventure Travel Magazine.

The Ausangate Trek is a 43-mile backpacking trip through striking Andean landscapes. The high elevations start at 12,000 ft, reaching 17,000 ft, passing small villages, glacial lakes, towering snowcapped peaks, and alpaca herds.

Amazon Jungle Trekking: Adventure travelers also head to the Peruvian Amazon, in search of flora, fauna, and birdwatching opportunities. Many tour operators include five exciting options, including Puerto Maldonado and Iquitos, both serving as urban gateways for exploring the deeper jungle. Other destinations on their tours include the Northern Jungle with river expeditions, Parque Nacional del Manu, set in a cloud forest teeming with exotic wildlife. The beautiful biodiversity of the Amazon jungle comes through in the Rainforest Master Hike. Inside of the Tambopata National Reserve, one of the best-preserved areas of the Amazon, this Rainforest Expeditions tour lets adventurous travelers encounter rare and endangered animals.

Aquatic Activities near Cusco: Several companies offer water sports tours with stand-up paddling, adventure rafting, kayaking, and more in the wild waters of the Sacred Valley. The Urubamba River beckons the most adventurous, especially during the December through March rainy season, South American summer.

The Sacred Valley surrounds Cusco and the ancient city of Machupicchu, the heart of the Inca Empire. This fertile farmland is dotted with Spanish colonial villages like Ollantaytambo and Pisac, the latter famed for its Sunday handicraft market and hilltop Incan citadel. Within this picturesque region is the Via Ferrata, a mountain climbing path with a permanently installed safety system, allowing beginners to move through striking mountain scenery with little skill or equipment. Climbers are attached to a steel cable, ensuring their safety, letting them concentrate on the beauty around them normally only accessible to the most skilled climbers.

Urubamba Bicycling: One of the most beautiful vacation spots in the Sacred Valley is Urubamba. The ideal, year-round climate makes it an important destination for adventure seekers offering panoramic views of the valley and the towering peaks of the Cordillera Vilcanota. Adrenaline-spiking adventure options in a once-in-a-lifetime setting abound, from canoeing, mountain biking and horseback riding and more.

Paddling and Kayaking in Cusco and Lake Titicaca: Tucked into the Andes at the border of Peru and Bolivia, majestic Lake Titicaca is the world’s highest navigable body of water. Legend places it as the Inca Empire’s birthplace, and the area teems with archeological treasures and Titicaca National Reserve, sheltering rare aquatic wildlife like gargantuan frogs. The Peruvian city Puno is the main gateway, with tours to this unique destination and its cool, shimmering waters.

Surfing in Lima: With its surfer culture and cliff-lined beaches, metropolitan capital Lima resembles Los Angeles, with Miraflores offering easy access surfing. Close to the heart of the city beneath the towering cliffs of the Costa Verde coastline, the district is full of backpacker hotels ideal for adventure travelers. On the north end, Playa Makaha features rolling breaks, perfect for beginners. Redondo, on the southern side, is great for beginners and intermediates, with consistent year-round left and right reef breaks. Experienced surfers head north to Punta Roquitas and reef breaks La Pampilla, with their reliable year-round swells and lefts and rights.

Other Lima surfer hotspots include La Herradura, in Chorrillos south of Miraflores, where swells with four-meter or 12-foot waves can be ridden for 500 meters or over 1600 feet. Farther south is Villa, for experienced surfers.

With its incredible mix of landscapes spreading from mountains to the jungles to the sea, the adventures awaiting travelers in award-winning Peru are more accessible than ever with several direct flights to Lima from many U.S. gateways.

Social Bee Adventures Launches Its Augmented Reality Travel Platform

    [ad_1]

Social Bee Adventures aims to revolutionize the tourism industry by using its proprietary augmented reality and mapping technologies to provide self-guided (contactless) tours indoors or outdoors

    Press Release

    updated: Aug 10, 2021

Social Bee Adventures, an app showcasing augmented reality in tourism and travel spaces, is leveraging technology to offer self-guided guided tours. While the underlying technology is complex, the idea is simple. The app allows creators to build step-by-step tours, scavenger hunts, and all-around adventures in augmented reality that consumers can then use, through the app, when it’s convenient for them. An experience in Social Bee Adventures consists of points of interest, trivia, photo, video and audio activities that can be placed indoors or outdoors. Consumers can gain points and see where they rank for the experience on the experiences leaderboard on the app. Creators can offer their experiences free of charge or charge a fee.

First, creators use the Social Bee Adventures app to create their experience — a tour of a city or neighborhood, a hike, a scavenger hunt, an event, and much more. Once complete, the creator publishes their experience and consumers can find and purchase the experience from the app and go on the self-guided tour when it’s convenient for them using Social Bee’s gamified augmented reality platform.

Travel and tour guides specifically have been hit hard by the pandemic. Social Bee Adventures provides a contactless option that allows tour guides to build their tour experiences and monetize whenever an app user consumes it. Social Bee Adventures provides new revenue streams for those greatly affected by the pandemic, while helping to protect the industry from future hardships.

Social media platforms do little to get people out exploring the world. As most social platforms’ goal is to keep users inside, increasing digital screen time, Social Bee Adventures helps users 1. find fun and local activities and experiences and 2. guides them step-by-step through the experience.

“My goal is to use technology to get people out into the real world, to make learning and exploring as fun and engaging as playing video games, and to create deeper and more meaningful connections with the world around us and the people we share it with,” says founder Jason LaBaw. “I want to invite all the experienced creators, tour guides, travel bloggers — the one friend in the group who always sets the itinerary and makes sure the trip is filled with fun. Join us in creating amazing experiences and sharing them with the rest of the world.”

    About the company

Social Bee Adventures is a platform consisting of an eCommerce website and iOS app, on a mission to revolutionize the tourism industry by using its proprietary augmented reality and mapping technologies to provide contactless tours indoors or outdoors.

    [ad_1]

For BBQ-loving Campers. Ultra-lightweight, Anti-bacterial, Anti-corrosion, Anti-rust. Great for Backpacking, Camping Trips, Hiking, and Bushcraft.

    Press Release

    updated: Mar 2, 2021

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign for the EATI | Anti-bacterial Titanium Utensil Multi-Tool, SEPTEM continues to focus on creating an ultra-light, incredibly durable camping necessity for backpackers, hikers, and all manner of outdoors people.

The SEPTEM titanium Grill & Hotplate is the lightest backpacking grill on the planet. It has been specifically designed to suit the needs of lightweight camping and bushcraft expeditions. It’s large enough to cook two steaks side-by-side but small enough to slide in your pack without taking up any valuable space. This is the perfect cooking unit for those looking to save on weight without compromising on quality. Every detail has been precisely engineered and constructed to ensure this grill will last you a lifetime.

    Portable, Lightweight, and Convenient

Everyone loves BBQ and other grilled foods when they’re camping. But cleaning, moving, and storing your grill is always a challenge. Often, a typical grill’s bulky size and general lack of storage space are obstacles for outdoor lovers.

    Half Hotplate – Half Grill

The original design of SEPTEM Grill & Hotplate is to make the two versatile cooking methods on such a small grill plate. Two ways to cook the food you love, wherever you are.

    Made from Titanium – Anti-bacterial, Anti-corrosion, Anti-rust

When titanium is exposed to air, an ultra-thin layer of titanium atoms interacts with the oxygen to create a nano-coating of titanium dioxide (Titania). Titania-based nano-composites subjected to light are remarkably effective in repelling microbial growth. In simple terms? This makes food safer to eat, stay fresher, and taste better.

    All Amazing Features

    1. Lifetime Use
    2. Easy to Clean
    3. Ultra-lightweight
    4. Fire-resistant
    5. Anti-bacterial
    6. Non-corrosive
    7. Durable

The campaign has already surpassed its original funding goals, and there is still time for consumers to be a part of the SEPTEM community at an exclusive discount.
