    Kriti Sanon, who was last seen playing the role of Janaki in Om Raut’s Adipursh, shared her thoughts on the ongoing Chandrayaan-3 mission. In a recent interview, the Shehzada actress expressed her joy regarding the third Indian lunar exploration mission. She mentioned how it is a ‘historic moment’ for the country.

    Kriti Sanon opens up about Chandrayaan-3 

    In a recent conversation with India Today, when Kriti Sanon was asked how she feels about the Chandrayaan-3 mission, she said, “Well, it is a historic moment for us, for every Indian. I feel so, so proud that Chandrayaan-3 will be landing today. I cannot wait to go back home and watch the whole landing. We will be all set and waiting for Chandrayaan-3 to land on the moon.”

    About Chandrayaan-3 mission 

    For context, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched its third lunar exploration mission under the Chandrayaan programme of ISRO. Interestingly, it consists of a lander Vikram, which is named after scientist Vikram Sarabhai, and a rover named Pragyan. 

    Moreover, the Chandrayaan-3 launched on July 14 at 2:35 pm IST and it is expected to land on the surface of the moon on August 23 at 6:04 pm IST. Well, if the mission succeeds then it will be India’s first soft landing near a lunar pole. 

    What are Bollywood’s thoughts on Chandrayaan-3?

    There’s no doubt that Bollywood is keeping an eye on the touchdown of Chandrayaan-3. 

    Earlier, R Madhavan took to Instagram stories and wrote, “Chandrayaan-3 WILL BE ABSOLUTE SUCCESS- – MARK MY WORDS. Congratulations @isro .. IN ADVANCE.. on this spectacular success.. I AM SO SO HAPPY AND PROUD… congratulations to @NambiNOfficial too.. Vikas engine delivers yet once again during the launch.” Here, the 3 Idiots actor also congratulated Nambi Narayan, a former scientist on whom the film Rocketry was made. 

    On the other hand, megastar Amitabh Bachchan also expressed his joy over Chandrayaan-3 and recited a beautiful poem on the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15. He said, “Kal shaam ko jab chand niklega na , toh uss chand ki mitti par humare desh ke kadmon ki chaap hogi . Kal humara Chandryaan 3 apne mama ke ghar, yaani ki apne Chanda mama ke ghar pahuchega. Kal humare bachpan ke kisse kahaniyon ka chand apne premika ke chehre ka chand apne , Vrat aur tyoharon ke chaand apne desh ki pahuch mein hoga. Ye uplabdhi iss khel ke harr uss khiladi ke liye ek sandesh hai , ke jisne bhi apne dil mein kuch karne ke liye thaani hai , iss dil ne humesha uski maani hai.”

    Work-wise, Kriti Sanon will be seen in Ganapath: Part 1 alongside Tiger Shroff, Amitabh Bachchan, and others. The actress recently kick-started filming for her debut movie as a producer titled Do Patti. She even shared an update with fans about the same.

But it has been courting controversies big time. Adipurush has been banned in Nepal. The mayor has refused to screen the movie since there is a dialogue which he feels is disrespectful towards their country. Later, the court in Nepal ordered to lift the ban on Hindi films.     Nepal resumes screening of Hindi films but not Adipurush

    Entertainment News has been full of updates on Adipurush. Before the film was released, the movie was banned in Nepal because the movie featured dialogue of Sita being the daughter of India. It is said that Sita was born in Janakpur in Nepal. And hence, it does not sit right with the mayor of Nepal who stopped the screening of films. While the Nepal court ordered to lift of the ban on films, the mayor revealed that the Om Raut-directed movie Adipurush still won’t be screened in Nepal.     Ban of Hindi films; Mayor’s statements

    The Nepal Motion Picture Association put out a statement saying that all foreign films will be screened but not Adipurush. The dialogue of Sita being the daughter of India has led to the ban. Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah is determined to not screen the movie and he is also ready to face the consequence of the same. Talking about the lift of the ban, QFX Cinema which is located in Sundhara in Nepal screened Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke on Friday.     On the court order to lift the ban, the Nepal bench said that it is their belief that no one is above the nation and nationality. It is their fundamental right to engage in business freely abiding by Nepalese law. Nepal court states that a film passed by the censor board cannot be banned as it has already been certified by a bench.

    Meanwhile, Adipurush’s business has been dropping a lot. Since Monday, the film has been losing its business and even the masterstroke of slashing the ticket prices did not work in their favour. Om Raut and Manoj Muntashir have been provided security by the police owing to the threats to their life.

    In a recent interview with India Today, Om Raut revealed that when he thought of the movie he could only think of Prabhas. He later shared that it was not easy to convince him. Earlier when the filmmaker approached the Baahubali star with the script he was reluctant to play the role on the screen. The director shared the story of how he persuaded him to take up the big role. He had a telephonic conversation with Radhe Shyam actor during the pandemic. Prabhas asked what is that he wants him to play and Om Raut replied Prabhu Shri Ram.     Om Raut told that he wants him to play Raghav in Adipurush. Prabhas questioned if he is serious and how this will happen. It was impossible for Raut to narrate the film on a Zoom call to a big star. He then got a pilot who was ready to fly him from Mumbai to Hyderabad in a day. The director specially went to Hyderabad to talk to Prabhas and when he narrated the film the actor immediately said yes. Raut revealed that Prabhas was very excited and he’s always a person who’s backed him and believed in the direction that he wanted to go in. The filmmaker further said that the actor has always been there and by the grace of God, he thinks he will be there even in the future.     Adipurush is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The film helmed by Om Raut was jointly produced by T-Series and Retrophiles.

    Writer Manoj Muntashir who initially defended the dialogues took to his Twitter handle to reveal that the makers have now decided to bring some changes in Prabhas, Kriti Sanon starrer. He wrote a lengthy note about the backlash received by him. He penned about people saying nasty things and addressing his mother because a few dialogues hurt them. He penned that he wrote around 4000 lines for Adipurush and some sentiments got hurt by 5 lines. He wrote, “I wrote dialogues of more than 4000 lines in Adipurush, some sentiments got hurt on 5 lines. In those hundreds of lines, where Shri Ram was glorified, Maa Sita’s chastity was described, praise was also to be received for her, which I don’t know why I did not get.” He also questioned why he got termed Sanatan Drohi over a few lines.     Prabhas led Adipurush, directed by Om Raut and co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh is all set to release. The film has witnessed very good advance bookings for its Hindi version, purely based on the numbers and not the means by which a chunk of them have been ensured. The advance numbers have confirmed that Adipurush will become the second biggest opener of the year for its Hindi version, just behind Pathaan and on an all India and worldwide level, Adipurush will become the biggest opener of the year by an around 10-15 percent margin. The global first day takings at the box office shall be in the north of Rs 120 crores gross.

     

    Adipurush Sells 2.85 Lakh Tickets In National Chains For The Opening Day In Hindi

    The 3 national chains of India, namely PVR, Inox and Cinepolis have cumulatively sold around 2.85 lakh tickets for the opening day of Adipurush (Hindi), thus helping it secure the fourth place in the list of highest advance bookings in the national chains for the opening day, in the Hindi language, post pandemic. While Pathaan sits at the top, KGF: Chapter 2 and Brahmastra settle for the second and third spot respectively. PVR is obviously the leading national movie chain, followed by Inox and then Cinepolis. Including the ticket sales of Adipurush in Telugu, the total count of tickets sold in the national chains for the opening day go up to well over 4 lakhs. If films (Hindi language) of all time are considered, the advances of Adipurush are the 12th highest.

    Movie Chains Like MovieMax Have Observed Very Pleasing Ticket Sales

    The pre-bookings for Adipurush (Hindi) are genuinely promising in a lot of small chains and centers but the conspicuous way the ticket purchases have happened across national chains have garnered more attention than they should have. To note, a non national chain like MovieMax has sold around 10,000 tickets for the opening day and 20,000 tickets for the weekend purely in Hindi. The Telugu version of the film has sold around 11,000 tickets in total, taking the cumulative weekend total to 31,000 tickets which is very good. MovieMax is not a high-end chain and focuses on middle class folks and for the film to sell these many tickets surely is encouraging.

    Adipurush has a lot going for itself and if the content clicks with the audience that it is targetting, it can really manage to do some excellent numbers.

People who have seen the second trailer of Adipurush are saying that it is bigger and better than the first one. The delayed really seems to have helped this film.     Kriti Sanon said that playing the role of Janaki/Sita Maa was the most humbling experience of her life. The film is expected to release at over 8000 theatres in India. The maximum number will be in North India. The songs are already massive on YouTube. Prabhas needs a big hit to redeem himself after the debacle of Radhe Shyam. The film suffered losses over Rs 100 crores. Kriti Sanon’s last movie Shehzada was also a flop at the box office.

After the teaser was dropped last year and the initial feedback, the makers promised to return with a bang and they have been living it up so far. The makers of Adipurush have been releasing motion posters of characters from the film. After Prabhas, now they have released the motion poster of Kriti Sanon who plays Janaki, also known as Sita in the movie. And fans are going gaga over the poster as well as the new BGM melody.     Adipurush makers drops Kriti Sanon’s motion poster

    On the occasion of Sita Navami, Om Raut and the production house have released the motion poster of Kriti Sanon aka Janaki of Adipurush. From the motion poster, we gather that Janaki has been abducted from the Panchavati forest. There are two looks of Kriti Sanon that have been released. The first is a full-length poster of Kriti as Janaki. She is seen modestly dressed in porcelain coloured saree and an orange dupatta on her head. The image of Prabhas as Raghava, that is Lord Ram, is seen in the silhouette in the background.     The second poster is of Janaki (Kriti) crying. It is a close-up of the actress who looks very ethereal. The BGM, however, is the highlight of the new Adipurush motion poster. It is a melody called Jai Siya Ram and will give you goosebumps just like Jai Shree Ram did. The poster is going viral and has made it to the entertainment news already.     Fans hail the new poster and the BGM

    Fans have been showering love on the new motion poster just like they did with the poster of Prabhas. They have been noticing the littlest details of Adipurush’s new motion poster. In the closer shot, they have noticed, Ram and Lakshman, going on a search for Janaki after her abduction. However, the BGM of Jai Siya Ram has struck a chord with the audience. They are hailing the promotions of Adipurush as well and feel the comeback after the controversy is quite good. Check out the tweets here:

    The teaser release of Adipurush was a big controversy as the fans slammed the VFX online. Om Raut had defended the teaser but eventually decided to retract and rework on the same. And fans are now loving every promotional idea of the makers. It seems that they will soon make the fans forget the controversy ever happened given the way they are heading with the promotions.

    Apart from Prabhas and Kriti, the film also stars Sunny Singh as Lakshman, Saif Ali Khan as Raavan and Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman. The music of Adipurush is given by Ajay-Atul which is hitting the right chord with the fans. T-series alongside Retrophiles are producing the ambitious project which is releasing on 16th June 2023.

    Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is keeping busy nowadays owing to his upcoming film Bhediya promotions. The film features Dhawan alongside actor Kriti Sanon in lead roles and is directed by Amar Kaushik. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan and is slated to hit the theatres on November 25. Amidst such high-scale promotions, Varun recently opened up about his health condition and shared his battle with Vestibular Hypofunction

    Varun Dhawan’s latest health update

    A few days ago, the Badlapur actor said that he is suffering from a rare health condition-Vestibular Hypofunction–wherein the balance system in your inner ear is unable to function properly.  

    In the latest update on Monday evening, Varun said that he is doing much better than before and thanked his fans and well-wishers for the same. 

    Varun tweeted, “Hey guys I know I had recently given an interview where I spoke about my health not being 100 percent. The amount of concern and love that has followed has left me humbled and actually very energized to get back to 100 percent.”

    “To everyone who has been concerned, I would like to share I am doing much better with the help of yoga, swimming, physio, and a change in lifestyle. Getting sun is the most important. Above all the blessings of Bhagwan,” tweeted Varun. 

    Varun Dhawan and his battle with Vestibular Hypofunction

    While speaking about how situations in life have changed after Covid-19, Varun told India Today, “The minute we opened doors, don’t you think we went back to the same rat race? How many people here can say that they have changed? I see people working even harder! In fact, I started pushing so much harder (with) my film JugJugg Jeeyo, it felt like I was running for an election. I don’t know why, but I put so much pressure on myself.” 

    He further added, “Recently, I just shut down. I didn’t know what had happened to me. I had this thing called vestibular hypofunction, (where) basically your balance goes off. But I just pushed myself so hard. We are just running in this race, nobody is asking why. I think there is a greater purpose (why) we are all here. I am trying to find mine, and hopefully, people will find theirs.” 

    On the work front, Dhawan will star next in Nitesh Tiwari’s action film Bawaal opposite Janhvi Kapoor.

    Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer retelling of the Ramayana Adipurush will now release on June 16, 2023. Adipurush director Om Raut shared an official statement saying that the team needs more time in order to “give a complete visual experience to the viewers.”

    The statement further read, “We are committed to make a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going.” Adipurush will be releasing alongside movies like Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan (June 2), Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 (June 23) and Kartik Aaryan’s Satya Prem ki Katha (June 29) in the same month. 

    The Prabhas-starrer was initially supposed to release on the occasion of Sankranti on January 12, 2023. Soon after the teaser of the much-awaited Prabhas film came out, netizens trolled it for sub-par VFX, visual effects and poor portrayals of important characters. Users also claimed that the 1987 serial Ramayan and the 1993 anime Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama were much more authentic depictions than Adipurush. 

    Adipurush is based on the epic Ramayana and celebrates ‘victory of good over evil.’ The cast includes Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage in significant roles.
