Shreveport, LA Family Reviews Improvements to Reading, Focus, and Vocabulary After LearningRx Brain Training

Boy goes from struggling reader with attention issues to increased focus, vocabulary and comprehension

LearningRx (www.LearningRx.com), the world’s largest personal brain training company, is celebrating the success of Braedon who saw significant changes in reading, paying attention and confidence after completing a LearningRx program.

Braedon came to LearningRx in Shreveport because he was struggling with reading comprehension, especially understanding the parts of a story. He didn’t enjoy doing homework and had trouble focusing and following directions.

After completing his LearningRx personal brain training program, Braedon achieved big results—seeing significant improvements in reading comprehension, focus in the classroom, his vocabulary and his ability to follow instructions.

“He now has better grades in school and actually wants to go,” says Braedon’s mother. “His will to want to learn is better and he can express himself much better now. I just want him to have the confidence that he needs to succeed in life and that he can do anything he puts his mind to.”

Braedon says he’d recommend LearningRx to a friend because it can “help them with math, spelling and confidence.”

Now Braedon wants to become a baseball coach and Navy Seal. We know he can do it!

LearningRx Red Bank Student With ADHD Wins Student of the Year

    Press Release

    updated: Aug 23, 2018

LearningRx (www.LearningRx.com), the world’s largest personal brain training company, is celebrating the success of 12-year-old Matt who experienced significant changes in his life after going through the program.

Matt’s mother enrolled him in LearningRx personal brain training in Red Bank, New Jersey, after he was diagnosed with ADHD and struggling to focus and stay organized at school. The mere mention of school would cause him to break into tears. He’d often take three hours to complete homework.

Now my confidence is a 10 out of 10. Throw anything at me and I’ll do it!

Matt , LearningRx Student of the Year 2018

“It was heartbreaking,” says his mom. “Before LearningRx, he had trouble focusing and didn’t get good grades. We talked regularly about having to go to summer school. He fidgeted. There was an organization issue. It was torture every night doing homework. There was nothing I could do to help him. And it was difficult to watch a child who wanted to flourish and wanted to do good have such difficulty. We refused to medicate him because we didn’t feel it was the right choice.”

A cognitive skills assessment found that Matt had weak attention skills and executive processing. LearningRx used these results to create a one-on-one brain training program to target and strengthen his weak brain skills.

Since completing the LearningRx program, Matt says everything in his life has changed, from school and sports to confidence and career goals.

“My science, math and reading – all those grades have been going straight up!” says Matt. “Now I want to be a mechanical engineer. When I first started, I had a 115 IQ and now I have 138! Now my confidence is a 10 out of 10. Throw anything at me and I’ll do it!”

Parents enroll fifth-grader in LearningRx personal brain training for attention and behavior issues

    Press Release

    updated: Jun 19, 2018

LearningRx (www.LearningRx.com), the world’s largest personal brain training company, is celebrating the success of fifth-grader John who experienced significant changes in his life after going through the program.

John’s parents enrolled him in LearningRx personal brain training in Reston, Virginia, after his grades were suffering, he had behavior and social issues, and he struggled with attention issues. He was being bullied and his confidence was very low. The school counselors wanted to “slap a medical label” on John and told his parents to medicate him.

    It’s worth every penny.

    John’s parents

“We were really focused on if we could get him in an environment that encourages him to learn and he’s seeing progress in himself,” says John’s father, “then we think he can move along at a much better pace.”

Since completing the LearningRx program, John says his grades have improved, his social interactions are better and he no longer dreads going to school. He’ll now be in more mainstream-style classes.

“He’s able to explore new ideas and see what he’s enjoying,” says John’s father. “The world is open to him now. We were always worried he couldn’t find his way, but now he has the tools to chase his dreams.”

“The kid who went into fifth grade and came out of sixth grade is a totally different kid,” says his mother. “Knowing what we know and how [LearningRx] built a completely different kid — his grades are mostly As with a couple Bs — it’s worth every penny.”

LearningRx Launches 100K Giveaway and Celebration During Learning Disabilities Awareness Month

Local LearningRx Centers Giving Away Free Brain Skills Assessments to Thank the Communities

    Press Release

    updated: Oct 5, 2017

October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month and personal brain training company LearningRx (www.LearningRx.com) is shining the spotlight on learning struggles with free brain assessments across the country.

To thank the communities that have supported its 80-plus centers across the U.S., LearningRx is launching its 100K Giveaway and celebration on Oct. 21. The event celebrates the one-on-one brain training company’s 100,000th student and the success of LearningRx’s programs. The company is giving away 100,000 Gibson Tests (a $97 per-test value), including an individual assessment of each test-taker’s results, which provides valuable insight into their learning skills. The local celebrations, which will be held at each of the 80-plus LearningRx Personal Brain Training Centers, will feature food, free brain training demonstrations, LearningRx graduates of all ages, and raffle drawings for great prizes.

If there are learning struggles, the Gibson Test will help pinpoint the cause.

Tanya Mitchell, Chief Research and Development Officer

“Unlike the SATs, ACTs and other standardized state tests which measure accumulated academic knowledge, the Gibson Test measures a person’s cognitive skills,” explains LearningRx Chief Research Officer Tanya Mitchell. “These include the seven core brain skills: attention, working memory, processing speed, auditory and visual processing, logic & reasoning and long-term memory. So, while a history test will determine what facts a child remembers, a cognitive skills test will determine how well they can pay attention to, memorize, process, recall and apply those facts.”

“We wanted to give back to the communities that have helped support our centers by providing our supporters with free results to help them gain insight into their learning strengths and weaknesses,” says Mitchell. “If there are learning struggles, the Gibson Test will help pinpoint the cause.”
