Basic-girl fall? Sunday football games? What can’t Taylor Swift make exciting again?

    ICYMI: ever since Swift’s highly successful Eras Tour kicked off earlier this year, the pop star’s legion of fans (widely known as Swifties) have attempted to enrich their concert-going experience via the exchange of friendship bracelets with other attendees at the show. Videos of Swifties tossing bracelets to the musician on her way out of the venue and passing handmade styles onto their favorite celebrities have flooded my social media feed for the better part of this year, though it seems the accessory’s popularity doesn’t necessarily stop with Swift.

    Fans of Beyoncé and even the Jonas Brothers have been documented exchanging friendship bracelets with one another at a number of concerts. And the internet is still ablaze after Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce attempted (read: maybe succeeded?) to give Swift a handmade friendship bracelet with his phone number on it — and then proceeded to trade the Y2K jewelry essential with other NFL players at a training camp over the summer.

    The underlying theme in all of this is that the nostalgic accessory (which became popular in the United States back in the ’70s and quickly evolved into a tween fixture throughout the early aughts ) has worked its way back into mainstream fashion in a big way — creating more camaraderie among fans and even causing bead-shortages along the way (as reported by Seattle’s King5 news station when Swift brought her tour to the city).

    If you’re a fan of Netflix’s “Love Is Blind,” then you may be curious about the engagement rings, which are either chosen on set or brought in (Kyle Abrams presented his mom’s ring to Shaina Hurley during season two, for example).

    Knowing that on “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” the jewelry is entirely provided by Neil Lane, you have to wonder how much shopping the men on “LIB” could possibly be getting done outside of the pods while they’re holed up from the outside world.

    What’s more, if you’re looking closely, you may notice similarities in some of the women’s engagement rings. In fact, in season one, it appeared Lauren Speed, Jessica Batten, and Amber Pike wore identical rings following their proposals.

    According to Netflix, all the men are presented with dozens of rings to choose from, unless they brought their own. “Whatever they choose, we pay for. Whatever we pay for, they keep, regardless of engagement ending,” a representative told POPSUGAR. And even though you might recognize similar elements on some designs — like diamond carat size, band embellishment, and setting — no two styles are exactly the same.

    Netflix even shared that in season two, the men proposing discussed their choices together, so the rings felt unique to each recipient. Of course, there are fans who have tweeted that they believe the women should be able to choose their preferred style before heading into the pods. That became a major issue in season two, when Mallory Zapata ended up with a silver ring picked by Salvador Perez, instead of her preferred choice of gold. Perhaps the producers will find a way for both contestants to join the ring-selection process in future seasons.

If your tape were to accidentally show, you know at the very least that a tape is not so obvious,” she says. Next, experiment with different tapes and the outfit you wish to wear. This will help you determine how seamlessly your top layers over the strip and whether you spy any wrinkles. This will also be a great test for the amount of support you require.

    Does Boob Tape Work For Small Breasts?

    A common misconception is that boob tape only works for large busts. In reality, breast tape can support other chest sizes, whether they match small, medium, large, or extra-large bras. “If used properly, it’s a great essential for all different-size breasts,” Schaffer says. “The most important thing to consider is placement, support, and the amount of coverage. It’s all in understanding your proportions and utilizing the tape in a way that suits your needs.”

    What’s the Best Boob Tape For Plus-Size Women?

    For someone with a curvier shape, a boob tape with a stronger adhesive is preferable, as this can offer support and lift. Again, it’s all about testing a range of products to find the most form-flattering option for you.

    How to Apply Boob Tape

    Apply boob tape on clean, dry skin that’s free of lotion and skin-care products that contain alcohol or skin-irritating ingredients. Protect the areola and nipple with nonadhesive padding, such as cotton rounds or nursing pads. Apply the breast tape (which should easily stick to your skin), and tada — half the battle is won!

    The removal process involves loosening the adhesive by massaging a cotton ball dipped in olive oil or Vaseline on the edge of and underneath the tape. A warm shower may do the trick. Once the tape is removed, be sure to rehydrate your skin with your go-to moisturizer.

    How to Style Boob Tape

    While it’s best to only use it for special occasions to reduce the risk of potential skin damage, the best boob tape will help you achieve your desired look.     Certain strapless or asymmetrical styles might call for nipple covers, which can be worn in addition to boob tape or on their own (see Lady Gaga’s hot take on pasties at the 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards). Nipple covers typically take up less surface area than boob tape, often covering only the areolas.

    If the old-school 20-year trend cycle is to be believed, then we’re looking at a rewind that will take us all the way back to 2003. By now, it should come as no surprise that all manner of early 2000s fashion items have come roaring back onto the scene in recent years, but no matter how many of the era’s controversial trends reemerge—from low-rise jeans to thong heels—we can’t help but feel shocked whenever fashion reaches back into the archives for yet another Y2K style element. So when I deliver the news I’m about to share here, don’t get mad at me if you’re personally triggered. I’m only the messenger after all! 

    Well, I’m so sorry, but we’ve once again reentered the era of the unnecessary belt. Of all the early aughts trends many of us lived through, the useless belt is perhaps the most pervasive of all in the collective consciousness.     Good luck trying to get me to care about anything else when I’m in the throes of obsessing over a designer buy. As soon as an item tugs at my heartstrings, I’ll stay up all night thinking about it and do more mathematical calculations than I’ve ever done before to figure out how I can afford to own it. Right now, the object of my full attention is none other than the Prada Symbole Sunglasses. A combination of a classic slim oval silhouette and a subtle cat-eye shape, they caught my eye as soon as I first saw them online. I’ve been able to focus on little else since.

    Or at least I was until I stumbled upon a similar oval-shaped pair while scrolling through Nordstrom. With a $517 price tag, the Prada pair I desire doesn’t come cheap. The Fifth & Ninth Taya Sunglasses I found on Nordstrom, however, only cast a fraction of that at $49. Plus, they feature a very similar retro shape. While nothing will ever come close to Prada, I’m genuinely shocked at how well this affordable alternative compares. I’ll still be dreaming about the designer iteration, but I plan on buying the Nordstrom pair to satisfy my desire in the meantime.

    But it’s not just me. Slim oval sunglasses inspired by the ’90s are suddenly everywhere this season, and celebs from Sofia Richie to Laura Harrier are wearing the retro style. So once you peruse both the Prada and Nordstrom pairs I’m highlighting, continue to shop more oval sunglasses that are classic, cool, and rather expensive-looking if you ask me.

But it’s not just this bag’s meteoric rise in popularity that makes it such a sound purchase at this moment and beyond. Instead, the bag’s idiosyncratic shape encapsulates Andreson’s entire design perspective—i.e., he can take the seemingly “mundane” and transform it into something magical.

    For this bag, Anderson drew inspiration from inverted travel pillows, hence the dramatic bumper edge, which is filled with tubing, to create this bag. The bag comes in multiple silhouttes (including a baguette, clutch, and crescent shape), numerous sizes, various colorways, and textures. Of course, the style is eclectic; it’s not your run-of-the-mill designer bag, but that’s what makes it a worthwhile purchase. So much of Anderson’s work taps into our collective imagination, and a single price tag can’t fully encapsulate the added value of that type of creativity.
