    Suhani Bhatnagar played the role of a child Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s 2016 blockbuster film Dangal which turned out to be a major critical and commercial success. The film also starred Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. Now, there is a sad piece of news coming in as Suhani has passed away at the age of 19.

    Suhani Bhatnagar dies at 19

    According to Zee News, Dangal star Suhani Bhatnagar passed away at the age of 19 on Saturday morning, February 17th. Reportedly, the young actress was unwell for some time and was being treated at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi. Her body will be cremated at the Ajronda crematorium in Sector 15, Faridabad.

    A media report suggests that she was admitted to the hospital because of a reaction caused by medication. She had been undergoing treatment for fluid accumulation in her body for a while.

    Suhani Bhatnagar made her acting debut in 2016 with Nitesh Tiwari’s sports drama biopic Dangal. The film starred Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Zaira Wasim, and Aparshakti Khurrana and was based on the Phogat sisters and their father Mahavir Phogat. In it, Suhani played the younger version of Babita Phogat. Upon release, Dangal became a massive critical and commercial success. 

    Prior to the film, she had done several ad films. Suhani also had an Instagram account where she often shared her pictures with her followers. Her account is followed by her Dangal co-stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. However, her last post was from November 2021.

    It is sad when artists who have impacted so many lives, die. Suhani’s death is particularly tragic because of her young age. May her soul rest in peace.

    Sushmita Sen is currently gearing up for the release of her web series Aarya Antim Vaar. Ahead of the release of Ram Madhvani’s series, the former Miss Universe sat for an exclusive Masterclass with Pinkvilla. During the session, she shared various stories and answered questions, and among them was the possibility of working with Aamir Khan and shooting Chunari Chunari for Biwi No. 1 with Salman Khan. 

    Sushmita Sen on possibility of working with Aamir Khan 

    Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan but never with Aamir Khan. During Pinkvilla’s Masterclass, this topic was raised, and Sushmita opened up about the possibility of working with Aamir.

    She said, “Aamir long back but nothing after. Aamir himself also does such less films that we unfortunately not. But they say the three Khans, no I’ve worked with the two.”

    When asked whether Sushmita came close to working with Salman Khan for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film probably in 2019, the actress said, “It was under discussion; we never came close enough to it. It was still under discussion.”

    Recalling the shoot days for Biwi No. 1‘s Chunari Chunari, Sushmita shared, “We shot in Miami in Fort Lauderdale. We shot in the US quite extensively. Chunari Chunari was in San Fransisco, San Jose, and it was the Golden Bridge. We were freezed due to extreme cold. Salman Khan is wearing a polo neck, wearing a blazer, he got inners, and he’s wearing a yellow suit. Yours truly is in lehenga choli, and it’s freezing, and the whole unit is covered in woolen clothes.”

    Sushmita continued, “The thermostat as an actress… shooting in the peak of winter, I think women have just developed this ability to wear chiffon saree anywhere, and the same goes for the song. We were just freezing. When David brought that song to me, I was like, ‘What is this song?’ David is like, ‘It’s a hit song.’ I turned to Salman and said, ‘You think that’s a hit song?’ So Salman’s like, ‘Come, we will show you.’ So we get down to shoot this song, and by that time it released that year, it was at every wedding. That’s a song that remains very special.”

    A video that has been shared by DJ Sahil on Instagram shows Aamir Khan dancing to Masti Ki Paathshala from Rang De Basanti. All attention is on Aamir as he aces the hook step of this popular song. Mithila Palkar, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare are also seen matching steps with Aamir in the video. Soon after, the DJ plays the song Papa Kehte Hain from Aamir’s 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. While Mithila and other guests cheered for Aamir Khan and got super-excited, the actor was pleasantly surprised.

    He smiled widely, walked up to the DJ, and hugged him. Aamir then stood on the stage, while the guests cheered for him and waited for him to dance on the song. “Dropped bangers that even Aamir Sir couldn’t resist!” wrote the DJ, while sharing the video.  “He wanted to leave the party & we wanted him to stay so here’s how it went!     Meanwhile, two days ago, another video that went viral on social media showed Aamir Khan dancing to the song Aati Kya Khandala from Ghulam. The song is originally picturised on Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji.

    Taking to her Instagram handle, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a clip of herself talking about Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan coming together for a press conference while she was holidaying with her boys Saif Ali Khan, Jehangir Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan in Africa. She can be heard saying that the three actors are keeping a secret from all of us and that they are up to something. She even said that this cannot be Sharman’s movie promotion and got our excitement levels higher by saying, “Something is fishy. I think they are cunning for a sequel. This smells like a sequel for sure.” She ended her video by adding that she is calling Boman Irani. We cannot wait to hear what he has to say about this.
