HENDERSON, N.C. — A Vance County Tax Office worker has been arrested amid embezzlement allegations.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday that Brianna Keele Anderson, 28, was arrested and charged with three felony counts of embezzlement of taxes by officer.
The SBI said it began looking into the case on Nov. 4 after the Vance County Sheriff’s Office asked for help investigating suspicions of an employee stealing money.
The Investigation culminated with Anderson’s arrest. She made a first court appearance and was released on a $105,000 secured bond.
SBI agents continue to investigate this case.
