LOS ANGELES — A newly released trailer for James Cameron’s third installment in the “Avatar” franchise, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” reveals a stunning new look at Pandora, featuring new clans, environments and creatures.

In the trailer, a member of the Ash People explains “the fire came from the mountain, burnt our forests. My people cried for help, but Eywa did not come.”

We see the Sully family band together once again against the threat of humans and outside forces. Warrior and mother Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) is even painted the red and black colors of the Ash People.

“What if every human being on Earth could live here without a mask? Then the Na’vi people will be gone,” says Jake Sully (Sam Worthington).

The new footage reveals a look at Miles “Spider” Socorro, a human, who has found a way to connect with Eywa and the Neural Network, allowing him to live on Pandora without a mask. Spider even goes as far as bonding with a water-based creature through a neural queue, an organ found among most Pandoran species.
