The sheriff’s office said the deputies were helping a stranded motorist when a semi-truck collided with their patrol unit.
A sheriff’s deputy was left dangling from an overpass after a crash in Lubbock, Texas.
Two sheriff’s deputies were seriously injured in the crash on I-27.
The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office said the deputies were helping a stranded motorist when a semi-truck collided with their patrol unit.
They got trapped between their car and a guardrail.
Bystanders at a nearby gas station quickly came over to help.
Both deputies were taken to the hospital with serious injuries; but are expected to be OK.
One other person was injured in the crash.
