Man recovering after being shot during robbery in Northern Liberties
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A man is recovering after being robbed and shot in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties section.
It happened around 10:45 p.m. Saturday, inside the parking garage of an apartment building on the 700 block of North Front Street.
Authorities found the 45-year-old victim attempting to drive himself to the hospital.
They say the gunman took his cell phone, jewelry and cash – and then opened fire.
“After the robber got his belongings, he then still shot him in the leg one time and then fled,” says Insp. D. F. Pace.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
