Springfield's Alex Cotton Ride supports pancreatic cancer

[ad_1]

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The 5th annual Alex Cotton Memorial Ride drew 60 motorcyclists to Springfield over the weekend to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer.

The event, which took place under warm weather conditions, saw participants ride from Springfield to the Quabbin Reservoir and back. This year’s ride was the most attended yet, with a new car show and a BBQ dinner adding to the festivities.

The theme for this year’s event was “2025: Keeping Your Memory Alive,” honoring the late Alex Cotton, who passed away at 53 from pancreatic cancer. The ride and associated activities aim to keep his memory alive while supporting others battling the disease.

A new addition to the event was a car show, featuring a ‘best in show’ contest, which attracted additional participants and spectators. The BBQ dinner provided a communal space for attendees to gather and share stories.

The Alex Cotton Memorial Ride continues to grow each year, bringing together the community to support a meaningful cause and remember Alex Cotton’s legacy.
