The company’s Falcon 9 rocket took off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station with Starlink 10-29 mission.
It happened as the launch window opened at 11:37 p.m. ET.
The 45th Weather Squadron gave a 90% chance of good liftoff conditions, with the only concerns being the cumulus cloud rule.

Going up
This is the 26th mission for the Falcon 9’s first-stage booster B1069. And it is no stranger to Starlink launches.
After the stage separation, the first-stage rocket landed on the droneship Just Read the Instructions that was in the Atlantic Ocean.
About the mission
The Starlink company’s 28 satellites, owned by SpaceX, will go into low-Earth orbit, where thousands more are already stationed.
Once deployed and in their orbit, they will provide internet service to many parts of Earth.
Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics’ Dr. Jonathan McDowell has been tracking Starlink satellites.
Before this launch, McDowell recorded the following:
- 8,051 are in orbit
- 7,032 are in operational orbit
