Showers slowly taper off tonight, clouds will linger Monday morning

Sunday showers have dominated the forecast. It was a great day to stay in and watch some football!

The Patriots played in scattered showers, cloudy skies, and chilly temps — feeling like football season.

Temperatures stay in the low to mid 60s. The showers slowly head southeast, with a rumble of thunder possible across the south coast, Cape or Islands.

Another 0.25” to 0.5” will fall through this evening.

The showers taper off slowly tonight.

Overnight lows drop to the 40s and 50s as the sky clears northwest of Boston.

The fall pollen (weeds) count will be very low today due to the rain, back in the moderate range Monday.

Clouds will linger for some of the morning on Monday, with sunshine emerging across Cape Cod by late afternoon and evening. Highs reach the low 70s with very dry air in place thanks to lowering humidity levels.

The sun remains on Tuesday, too, with highs a tad lower in the upper 60s to low 70s. A small chance for rain returns on Wednesday, though most spots remain dry, in the low 70s and cloudy.

Thursday through the following weekend looks to stay dry with highs still in the 70s.
