CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD is investigating after someone fired a weapon through the windshield of a vehicle following an alleged road rage incident that happened in broad daylight at a busy Plaza Midwood intersection.

The shooting was reported on Monday, June 24th just before 3pm on Central Avenue at Pecan Avenue, according to a CMPD police report.

One person was injured in the shooting and was transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
