The Seafair Pirates did it again. They hit the beach on Saturday afternoon to the delight of a sizeable crowd to  “take over” the city and offiicaly kick off Seattle’s Seafair 75th aniversary celebration.

In typical pirate fashion the pirates fooled everybody. They were probably 400 hundred yards away from the bath house when they decided to make a hard turn to port and land there. It was a  scramble to the beach to try and get there to greet them as their landing craft came ashore.

From there King Neptune, KING TV’s Chris Cashman and Queen Halcyon were on hand for the annual award of the key to the city by King County Executive Dow Constantine.
