A SCOTS teen drug mule has been nicked in Qatar with a suitcase of cannabis after “gangsters threatened his family” if he refused.
Lino Neil, 18, spent Christmas “terrified” in a Doha cell after he claims to have been exploited during a holiday in Thailand.
The young champion angler from Stirling was caught carrying a suitcase filled with cannabis at Hamad International Airport on November 21.
He was trying to fly the drugs back to Dublin from Thailand after a trip with his girlfriend.
Lino’s mother Nicola, 49, told the Daily Record: “Lino has just turned 18 a month ago he’s totally distraught, which is the way we’re all feeling.
“They put him in the jail in Qatar Airport and he’s had so little food to eat that he’s lost a lot of weight. He is terrified.
