The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating after a school bus and a pickup truck crashed at the intersection of Vass Carthage and Lees Branch roads in Moore County.

On Wednesday, troopers on the scene told WRAL News a truck
ran off the road and overcorrected.

State troopers said video from the school bus shows the
truck driver trying to regain control and colliding with the school bus. The bus
ran off the road, and the truck overturned.

Officials on the scene told WRAL News there were 22 people
on the school bus, including the driver. Four students were taken to the
hospital, though there is no official number of how many were taken since
several parents took more students to the hospital.

Troopers said the truck driver refused treatment at the scene.

Officials have not released any names of anyone involved in the crash.
