Saturday Swap: Monthly events at Innovation Barn – Charlotte On The Cheap

Innovation Barn, at 932 Seigle Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina, is the hub of Charlotte’s circular economy. Here you’ll find sustainability and reuse programs like plastic and glass recycling, bee-keeping, aquaponics and much more.

Innovation Barn hosts a monthly event, Saturday Swap, where guests can bring something in that they aren’t using, and bring home something new to them. Each month has a different theme.

These are great events for everyone. Get some “new to you” stuff, while keeping your old stuff out of the landfill!

Make sure that whatever you bring to swap is clean and in working condition.

Make sure to grab a coffee or pastry at Change Please while you’re there.

Saturday Swap 2026 Schedule

Each of these events is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This schedule was announced on Facebook.

  • January 17: Books and blankets
  • February 21: Clothes
  • March 21.: Seeds and plants (label seeds and make sure plants are healthy)
  • April: No Saturday Swap this month. (Second Chances event takes place.)
  • May 16: Outdoor and sports equipment
  • June 20: Children’s toys and books
