Sacramento transportation providers promote sustainable travel options

[ad_1]

(FOX40.COM) – Transportation providers from across the Greater Sacramento region gathered at the Capitol today to promote sustainable ways to get around by talking with residents and sharing alternative travel options.

The “50 Corridor Transportation Management Association” hosted the event today to discuss options such as walking, biking, and using public transit, including the light rail and buses. Cheryle Croshere, the Executive Director of the group, says that they realize parking is expensive, hard to find, and the traffic can be horrible, so things like carpooling are another great option for reducing some of the stress of going to the downtown area.

If you’re interested in joining a carpool, download the ‘NORCAL GO’ app to connect with others in your area who are also looking to carpool.
