Sacramento County middle school evacuated after bomb threat

Smedberg Middle School was put on lockdown and later evacuated as a precaution on Friday morning due to a call regarding a bomb threat, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.Parents can pick up their children at the Shelton High School Football field, the sheriff’s office and school’s principal said. The sheriff’s office said the school received the call just before 10 a.m.According to a message from the principal, school officials immediately contacted law enforcement and the threat is being investigated.
