(FOX40.COM) — Although temperatures have dropped only slightly during the heat wave in Northern California, they’re expected to quickly go back up and local governments have begun to extend the days that their cooling centers are open.

At least one heat-related death has been confirmed in the Sacramento area, where temperatures have reached between 100°F and 113°F since the start of July.
