Old Town Pizza plans to open its Roseville location in June 2026, featuring a rooftop bar and a basement venue by 2027.
ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Old Town Pizza’s highly anticipated Roseville location is taking shape, and the team now expects to welcome guests in June 2026, just in time for summer rooftop season.
The restaurant is transforming the former post office at 320 Vernon Street in Downtown Roseville into a two-level dining destination with a rooftop bar and basement entertainment venue.
OTP purchased the property in September 2024, initially targeting a 2025 opening but later adjusted its timeline.
According to Reese Browning, co-owner & Chairman of the Board at Old Town Pizza, the project remains on track for its new 2026 opening date.
“Major demolition is complete, the main interior structure is finished and framing for the upstairs rooftop dining area is underway,” Browning said. “So far, we’re right on track. Everything’s moving along smoothly toward our 2026 opening.”
Old Town Pizza Architect Ed Mojica says, ‘anything’s possible in construction,” the team has built “a strong plan with an experienced group” and feels confident about the path forward of the project.
The Roseville restaurant will be OTP’s first location with a full liquor program, expanding on the success of its existing beer and wine offerings.
“The main floor will have similar seating to our current location, but with the rooftop added, overall capacity will jump significantly,” Browning said.
Browning added that the rooftop will feature a solid roof structure and roll-up glass doors, allowing guests to enjoy the space year-round, “with incredible views of downtown Roseville and the railyards to match.”
“By opening day, the dining and rooftop experience should be, as we like to say, ‘good as gold,’ Browning said.
Browning said OTP’s ownership group, Ed Mojica, and their contractor share a passion for restoring historic buildings, such as Roseville’s 1930s-era post office.
“While we’ve made some changes for code and safety, we’ve kept as much of the original architecture as possible,” Mojica said. “It’s all about breathing new life into something that already has great bones and a great story.”
The main dining room and rooftop are both set to open in 2026, with the basement ‘speakeasy’ -style entertainment venue planned for a later phase, likely in 2027.
“The buildout of the basement will be an events and entertainment venue,” Browning said. “When it’s not used for private gatherings, it will have a ‘speakeasy’ feel, a stage for music, comedy, and other acts with a full bar.”
Browning said the team plans to celebrate the Roseville opening with community events, although specific details have not been set yet.
“Honestly, watching our team bring a historic, underused property back to life is incredibly rewarding,” Browning said. “It’s something the community can be proud of.”
Browning added that owning, rather than leasing, the new building represents ‘a major milestone’ for OTP.
“That shift gives us long-term stability and control, ensuring OTP can keep serving great food and good vibes for many years to come,” Browning said.
