Richmond neighborhood locked down due to police activity

(KRON) — A Richmond neighborhood was ordered to lockdown due to police activity Monday morning, according to an alert from the Contra Costa County Community Warning System. There is police activity at the intersection of Richmond Parkway and Barrett Avenue, the warning advised.
Oakland restaurant closing after a decade of business
Residents in the area of the 500 block of Second Street are being advised to lockdown in the nearest place of safety. The alert advises residents to go inside and close and lock all windows and doors.
Residents are advised to stay off the phone and only call 911 in the event of a life-threatening emergency. Residents are advised to stay inside until further official instructions are given.
Others are being advised to avoid the area.
