Raincoats Typically Aren’t Super Stylish but These 12 Absolutely Are

Growing up, I hated my raincoat. It wasn’t the raincoats fault. It’s just that the utilitarian staple is more often associated with a mother’s demands (and concern that you’ll be cold and wet) than it is with an aspiring fashion girl‘s desires. Every time I had to put a raincoat on instead of one of my fun statement coats, I felt like I was being wronged. It felt more like a need than a choice.

As I grew up, my opinion on raincoats never changed. I quickly accumulated a very large coat collection to wear in the New York cold but I never, not once, bought a new raincoat. I kept the same one since High School, begrudgingly wearing it only in times of desperation.
