Rain and storm chance this afternoon

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Today

Hot and muggy conditions will continue across the Carolinas with highs in the upper 80s to around 90. Rain and storms are likely in the afternoon and evening with lows overnight in the mid 70s. Rain chances will continue overnight into Thursday morning. Heavy rain is the primary concern with any storms that form.  

Thursday-Friday

Cooler conditions both days with the highest chances for showers this week.  High temperatures will be in the low 80s. Showers and thunderstorms are likely with periods of heavy rain possible both days. Localized flash flooding will be possible.
