Prince William County police looking for suspect in shoplifting, ‘eye irritant’ incident

Police seek Rodney Johnson after an alleged shoplifting attempt at a Woodbridge store involving an “eye-irritant” spray.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Prince William County police say they are looking for a suspect after two shoplifters allegedly sprayed “eye-irritant” when they were trying to escape from a Woodbridge BJ’s with stolen merchandise.

According to police, one of the men sprayed the unnamed substance when they were leaving the store. Multiple people inside the building experienced what law enforcement described as “symptoms.” One person was taken to a local hospital, but police don’t believe their injuries were life threatening.

Police were able to arrest one of the suspects, Jhonathan Moises Ugalde Ramos, but they’re still looking for Rodney Johnson.

Johnson is wanted on charges including robbery, grand larceny, and conspiracy to commit grand larceny, as well as larceny with intent to sell.

Johnson is 6-foot and 200 pounds.
