PRIMITIVE MAN Stays Miserable On New Single “Natural Law” – Metal Injection

Primitive Man is here to absolutely fuck your year up with their new record Observance, due out October 31, 2025 via Relapse Records. Which you can find out for yourself in part above thanks to their new, lengthy and destructive single “Natural Law”.

On the new single, Primitive Man frontman Ethan McCarthy said: “[It’s] one of the more ‘trance-like’ songs in terms of how it was written and I think leans in on the dark psychedelic vibe we have tried to harness for this.

“Lyrically it deals with feelings of isolation, friend or associates turned bitter enemies, and how the option of violence is always there; that it is a personal choice whether or not to succumb to it and the struggle within that framework. It is also somewhat of a call out to anyone that the lyrics apply to. It also states that there is strength and a spark within hatred that you can either use to progress your life forward or end up dead/in jail.”
