Preliminary 2.5 earthquake reported near Morgan Hill

(KRON) — A preliminary 2.5 earthquake was reported Thursday afternoon near Morgan Hill, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The time of the quake was 3:38 p.m.

The depth of the earthquake is 9.6 km (approximately 5.96 miles). There were no preliminary reports of any injuries.

The epicenter is located roughly 20 miles north of Morgan Hill and 15 miles east of San Jose.
