CHARLOTTE — Rumors have been swirling for years, but it appears the popular Texas-based fast food restaurant chain, Whataburger, is officially eyeing the Carolinas. But, did you know there’s a What-A-Burger sitting right in our own back yard?
Just hop on I-77 North to Mooresville. The restaurant, What-A-Burger, has been a staple in the community since 1965. The restaurant is labeled Carolina’s finest. Where else can you go to order a ‘What-A-Salisbury’ burger? They also offer ranch burgers, hamburger steak plates, and fish.
They also have other locations in Concord and Kannapolis.
We’re told the national hamburger chain ‘Whataburger’ plans to open two locations in Charlotte.
They released this statement:
“We don’t have any details to share at the moment, but will be sure to let you know more information in the future.’
There are more than 350 Whataburger locations across the U.S.
