Police investigating after woman found dead in Sacramento | Update

The police department closed North 12th Street between Sproule Avenue and North B Street.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento Police Department is investigating after a woman was found dead Tuesday.
Sacramento police got a call around 6 a.m. for reports of a fight in the 1300 block of North C Street. When officers arrived, they found a woman on the ground, according to Sgt. Dan Wiseman, a spokesperson for the police department.
The woman had at least one puncture wound, according to the police department. the woman died at the scene. Detectives are investigating her death as a homicide. The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
The police department closed North 12th Street between Sproule Avenue and North B Street as of 7 a.m. and it’s expected to be closed for several more hours. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
There is no information on a potential suspect and no one has been arrested.
