Police arrest 18-year-old connected to 2 rape cases in Seattle

The Seattle Police Department said they arrested an 18-year-old man on Friday at about 9 a.m. in the 3900 block of Montlake Boulevard. Police said the suspect was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of second-degree and third-degree rape.
Detectives started investigating the suspect after a 19-year-old woman was raped in October 2023 in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Investigators believed another additional rape case from November 2023 in the University District involved the same suspect. The second victim was a 22-year-old woman, according to police.
