An investigation is underway after a baby girl died in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood.
On Tuesday, Sept. 9, around 7:45 a.m., police and medics responded to a report of an unresponsive 2-month-old girl on the 400 block of Mechanic Street.
The baby was taken to the Einstein Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 8:41 a.m.
Police have not revealed the cause or circumstances surrounding the child’s death. They also have not said if they are searching for any suspects. They continue to investigate.
