PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Red October is here. The Phillies are enjoying the bye and will take on themselves Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park.

Tens of thousands of fans will attend a 6:05 p.m. intrasquad game.

The club initially set capacity at 20,000, but due to high demand, the team expanded it to 31,000, which still sold out in just four days.

Net ticket sale proceeds will benefit Phillies Charities, Inc.

“Our fans continue to show why they are simply the best,” said Phillies Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations John Weber. “More than 31,000 will be in the stands for our first-ever postseason intrasquad game, bringing their same energy and passion that have continuously created an electric atmosphere at Citizens Bank Park. We’re excited to host this special event as we gear up for Game 1 of the National League Division Series.”

Gates open at 4:30 p.m., and parking in lots P, S, T and U will be free, along with a portion of Lot M. Lots open at 4 p.m.

The Phillies will face the winner of the Wild Card series between the Dodgers and the Reds.
