The Philadelphia Phillies are back at Citizens Bank Park Monday night for Game 2 of the NL Division Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fans are hoping for a win.
“I think the home crowd will definitely help with just how loud it is in the stadium,” said Frank Raiger, of Newtown Square.
The Phils dropped the first game of the series to the Dodgers 5-3.
“Our pitching wasn’t really that bad; we just weren’t getting any hits. We got those three hits earlier in the second inning, and then after that, we just went cold, which you can’t do against the Dodgers,” said Hom Haroun, of Northeast Philadelphia.”I just think we’re gonna actually pull through this time, and hopefully get some wins.”
Jesus Luzardo will start.
“In the grand scheme of things, there’s been a lot of series this year that we ended up winning after losing Game 1. We just bounced back and won two in a row, so I think that’s the mentality we have to take,” said Luzardo.
Center fielder Harrison Bader was not in the starting lineup for Game 2 because of a groin injury. Bader was injured running the bases in Game 1.
Manager Rob Thomson said imaging showed no major tear or strain in Bader’s groin and there was a possibility he could pinch hit Monday night.
