Person missing after boat capsizes in San Joaquin River in Lathrop, sheriff’s office says

San Joaquin County deputies have suspended the search for someone missing in the water after a boat capsized, the sheriff’s office said Thursday evening.Officials said they paused the search due to dangerous river conditions. The search will resume on Friday.The missing person has not been located, but officials said search crews found the boat. Due to the river conditions, they are not able to retrieve it.The sheriff’s office said it got a call just before 5 a.m. about a boat that went down in the San Joaquin River near Loop River Road between Caraval Court and Richardson Road in Lathrop. There were two people on the boat before it capsized.One person made it to shore, but the sheriff’s office said the other person has yet to be seen.
