Arlington County, Virginia, police have evacuated the Pentagon City Mall as they investigate reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

Arlington County, Virginia, police have evacuated the Pentagon City Mall as they investigate reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

According to spokesperson Ashley Savage, the incident started around 7:30 p.m. at the shopping center. Shortly after police got the report, the mall was evacuated.

Anyone planning to travel should avoid the area while the investigation is underway. As of 9 p.m., officials reported a large police presence in the area.
