Pedetrian killed crossing Interstate 5 in Stockton hit-and-run

(FOX40.COM) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing Interstate 5 in Stockton, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, around 12:20 a.m. on Monday, an unknown vehicle was headed north on I-5 when it hit a pedestrian near Charter Way.

CHP said the driver left before authorities arrived.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP said the suspect vehicle should have damage to its front and asked anyone with information about the collision to contact Stockton CHP at (209)938-4800.
