Fort Worth’s Panther Island Brewing will close for good this weekend after 11 years in business, the brewery’s owners announced Friday via Instagram.

“We’re endlessly proud of the beers we brewed, the stories we shared, and the people who made it all meaningful,” the post reads.

Owner Ryan McWhorter opened the brewery in 2014, and it has been family-owned and operated ever since, according to the Dallas Observer. The brewery’s American ale, Allergeez, won a gold medal at the 2020 Great American Beer Festival.

Other notable brews from the establishment include a beer made using Buc-ee’s Beaver Nuggets snacks, according to the Observer.

Panther Island Brewing’s last full weekend of taproom service runs through Sunday, the owners said. The brewery will be closed all of next week before hosting a farewell event on Feb. 13 from 6 to 10 p.m..
