CHICAGO — Over 9,700 ComEd customers are in the dark on Tuesday night as intense storms sweep across Chicagoland.

According to the ComEd outage map, as of 8:06 p.m., there are 63 active outages within the service area, meaning just over 9,700 customers are without power.

ComEd currently serves about 4,084,000 customers.

It is unclear when service is expected to be restored for those impacted by the outages.

The outages come as storms batter Chicagoland and the collar counties with heavy rain, hail and strong winds.
