KENNEDY SPACE CENTER — Officials announced new dates for Axiom Space’s Axiom 4 undocking and for NASA’s Crew-11 launch.

Ax-4 to come down
Axiom Space announced that it would be bringing home its private Axiom 4 (Ax-4) crew Cmdr. Peggy Whitson, pilot Shubhanshu Shukla, and mission specialists Tibor Kapu and Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski.
Their SpaceX Dragon named Grace will undock from the International Space Station’s Harmony module on Monday, July 14, at 7:05 a.m. ET.
The splashdown will take place in the Pacific Ocean, however, the exact time and site have not been given.
“Mission teams will continue to closely monitor weather conditions at potential splashdown sites to ensure a safe and successful recovery of both the spacecraft and crew,” Axiom Space stated in a press release on Friday morning.
The Ax-4 crew launched from the Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday, June 25, and docked with the International Space Station the following day for a more than two-week stay as they conducted more than 60 experiments.
Crew-11 to go up
NASA officials announced on Thursday afternoon that the Crew-11 mission will takeoff from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex-39A.
Currently, the launch is set for 12:09 p.m. ET, Thursday, July 31.
As part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket and its Dragon capsule named Endeavour will take NASA astronauts Cmdr. Zena Cardman, pilot Mike Fincke and mission specialists JAXA’s Kimiya Yui and Roscosmos’ Oleg Platonov to the International Space Station, where they will carry out a series of experiments until April 2026.
