LCB Action: Cannabis Related Rulemaking – E2SSB 5080 Proposed Rules on Social Equity in Cannabis

On Oct. 23, 2024, during its regularly scheduled meeting the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) took the following cannabis-related action:

Social Equity in Cannabis: Supplemental proposed rules (CR-102) filed – Public comment period now open

During its regularly scheduled meeting, the Liquor and Cannabis Board approved an updated rule proposal (supplementary CR-102) to amend WAC 314-55-570 implementing Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill (E2SSB) 5080 (chapter 220, Laws of 2023), in law as RCW 69.50.335. This law expands and improves the Social Equity in Cannabis Program.

Public comment is now open until the public hearing currently scheduled for Dec. 4, 2024.
