NEW YORK CITY, New York (WABC) — It may seem hard to believe but spring is around the corner and the New York Botanical Garden is getting a head start on the blooming.
The annual orchid show opens Saturday with the theme of Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle.
The exhibition features the debut work of Queens native and artist Mister Flower Fantastic — one of the most in-demand floral artists in the world.
The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory will be transformed with New York City-inspired streetscapes, subway stops, brownstones, and thousands of orchids.
The NYBG says visitors will “experience the flair and style of New York transformed by thousands of flowers.”
The show will run from Feb. 7 to April 26.
