Northern California police operation leads to recovery of over 30 guns and 6 pounds of marijuana

(FOX40.COM) — A recent operation conducted by a Northern California agency unveiled a large amount of guns and marijuana and led to the arrest of nearly 10 people.

The Stockton Police Department said its officers and the ATF Task Force recovered 34 guns, including assault weapons and automatic machine guns, six pounds of marijuana, a bulletproof vest, and about $105,000 of suspected illegal proceeds.

“This collaborative effort underscores our unwavering commitment to combatting violence in our city, and we extend our gratitude to our law enforcement partners for their invaluable support,” Stockton police said.

The efforts to recover the guns and marijuana began when Stockton police and the ATF Task Force launched a “complex investigation” into the “Tiny Raskals Gang” for various criminal activities like firearms trafficking, illegal weapons possession, and more.

On Wednesday, police said officers executed a search warrant at 12 different locations in Stockton along with assistance from agencies in Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties, including Modesto PD, Manteca PD, Tracy PD, and CHP’s Auto Theft Task Force.

Among the nine people arrested, one was under 18 while one was over 30 (39). The rest ranged between 21 and 29.
