PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) — No threats have been found after reports of a student allegedly seeing someone on campus with a firearm caused Dobie High School to go under lockdown, according to officials.
The scene began unfolding a little after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Pasadena ISD said the lockdown was implemented to ensure the safety of everyone on campus. However, almost two hours later, it was reported that no threats were identified and law enforcement is conducting classroom sweeps to provide an extra layer of safety, the district shared in a statement.
SkyEye was over the scene, where heavy law enforcement surrounded the school, and multiple people were outside the building.
A video shared with ABC13 by a parent at the scene showed an officer informing parents that they were reviewing the information they received and had found no threats. Now they’re asking parents to be patient as they work to get everyone out of the building.
