If you were listening to the radio in 2008 (like most of us; Spotify was only founded in 2006 and didn’t gain popularity for a few years), there’s no way you could avoid hearing “Sex On Fire” by Kings of Leon. It was absolutely everywhere. Now, 15 years later, the song has been given a modern dance spin by NITTI, fka Nitti Gritti.

As Audien loves to say, progressive house never dies, and NITTI transforms the rock classic an emotional progressive house ballad. Personally I wish a bit more of the original guitar riffs would have stayed, extending some of the measures before the vocals come in, but as the track is already at 4 minutes long, there is still plenty to sink your teeth into.
