Following the New Year’s Receptions in Denmark, Japan, The Netherlands and Belgium, the Grand Ducal Couple of Luxembourg hosted the traditional New Year’s Reception at the Palais Grand-Ducal in Luxembourg on the evening of January 14th, held for the first time after the Accession of Grand Duke Guillaume V of Luxembourg in October.
Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg held the New Year’s Reception for members of the Government, the Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies, the Council of State, representatives of the Judiciary, Heads of the Administration and Foreign Ambassadors at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City.
On this occasion, the Grand Ducal Couple received the best wishes of the President and members of the Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies, the Prime Minister and members of the Government, members of the Council of State, senior representatives of the judiciary and the diplomatic corps accredited to the Head of State and representatives of the European institutions.
Grand Duke Guillaume wore Uniform with the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau. Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore the Citrine and Pearl Tiara and Parure and the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau.
