New listings towered above 2023 volumes in the 19th week of the year, according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

Realtors added 3,574 properties into the MLS during the week ended May 13, a 23.7% increase year over year.

Both pending and closed listings fell during the week, however. Pending listings declined by 8%, with 2,295 homes going under contract compared to 2,494 a year prior; closings fell 8.6%, with 1,609 homes sold, down from 1,761 during the same week in 2023.

Meanwhile, listing views on HAR.com increased 35.4% annually.
