New listings are “maintaining their lead over year-ago levels,” according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

Realtors added 3,554 properties into the MLS during the week ended April 15, a 16.6% increase year over year. However, pending and closed listings both experienced annual declines. Pending listings fell 8.2% year over year, with 2,377 homes going under contract, while closings dropped 5.5%, with 1,645 homes sold.

Meanwhile, listing views on HAR.com jumped 33% year over year.
